Capital is a decent high school club. But I would rather stock a team with the girls from M&D. Their high school teams are phenomenal, and are among the best in the nation, capital and yellow jackets included. M&D IS why McDonogh, Century, Marriots Ridge, etc are always the top teams.

No doubt McDonogh has been the best HS in the country the past few years primarily because of the coach's connection to M&D. But the Saints are usually in the mix from the 2 to 5 spot and currently sit at #2 this year. KJ says thank you Capital, one of the best club teams in US.

As the parent of a Holton middle schooler who can't wait to play for the high school team, I'm excited to see that all of the local privates are stepping up their game in lacrosse. It just makes it fun for everyone. Definitely plenty of Holton girls play for Capitol and hopefully more next year!

Have the new coaches started any recruiting to encourage girls to apply there next year (for 2018-2019 school year)?

The head coach of Visi from what I have been told plays favorites with players and the parents have been extreamly frustrated by how she handled the team. While they won the championship (team was stacked) this year kids are not excited to play for the proram. Recruiting has not gone well because of the reputation the staff has built in the lax community.

This is all false. Or, you talked to someone disgruntled, there is always someone that n any team. The players adore the coaches and lots of great girls coming in to play in the future.

No, it is not all false and I wish that new girls high school lacrosse club would stop using the word “adore” to describe players’ feelings towards their coach. It’s a dead giveaway.

Holton is on the rise from a recruiting stand point after knocking off SSSA in playoffs. Girls are trying to avoid the drama and politics at Visi and Stone Ridge has struggled to attract the best talent. Holton has the best coaches and its a fun program where they really build a team. All the MC talent is heading to Holton and they are getting a fair amount of VA talent as well.

How will Visi be this year? Are they returning a big team from last year?

Georgetown Visitation Girls lacrosse program will have an ok year. They lost most of there good players so time will tell if they can Coach them up.

And Saints have not even been the best team in Alexanderia for the past 4 or 5 years—that title now belongs to BI!

Not sure about Lacrosse and Visi recruiting, but they have a great basketball team and actively recruit.

Bull. Ever think they are disgruntled because of the coach's behavior?
