Agree with all of this. Hannah is so awful it's unbelievable at this point. I think the main character should have some endearing quality about her. She's off the rails terrible. It makes it so hard to handle how physically unattractive she is. I don't see the point they're trying to make. I wouldn't watch an ugly, un redeeming man either |

I've been able to handle Hannah until this latest episode. I even found her funny...like when she tells Fran summer is coming and therefore she might be showing more of her vagina lol
This episode made me so uncomfortable especially the BJ scene with Ray. I mean, how screwed up is she to 1) so poorly read the signs in her interactions with Ray 2) feel like the only way she can show her appreciation to Ray is to give him BJ. WTF?! I'm so glad Fran got away...he did a great job in the episode. |
| Agree Hannah was horrendous this episode. Also I felt it was very out of character for Jessa to freak out over the spit up. This is the same woman who plunged her head into the bathtub as baby Sample was being born, for chrissakes. It just didn't ring true. |
Welcome to the mindset of a lot of pathetic young women, who really do think a BJ is a friendly gesture. |

Did anyone see last night's back to back episodes/season finale? I thought they were masterfully done, and I've been a big critic of Girls, and especially Hannah's character.
From start to finish, I thought each episode was excellent. I loved the bike riding scene with Hannah and her friend (can't remember her name). Great shots of NYC. I think Shosh has finally found her niche - fantastic marketing of Ray's coffee shop to the anti-hipster crowd. I would gladly be a customer if there was a place like this IRL. That hipster Helvetica place was so self-serious - ugh. I hope Ray wasn't seriously going to carry and fetch things for Marnie on their tour. Let's hope he has more self-respect than that. I do hope they wind up together though. I think he's the perfect antidote to her narcissism. Jessa and Adam were disturbing in their rage. That was some scene. I wonder if they'll be together next season. I was so moved by both Elijah and Hannah. We've never seen Elijah be serious and vulnerable and he was both. He made me want to cry when Dill called him "aimless" and said his goodbyes. Hannah's reading actually did move me to tears. I've found her so incredibly off-putting this season, but her words in that scene were beautiful and showed a side of her we almost never see. Maybe she'll turn herself around by next season and start fresh. |
Really? Had you been drinking? I am not trying to be rude, but while it was entertaining, it was a far reach from being tear-jerking. Also, did anyone else notice the bookshop was the same one which featured in an episode of The Following ?(Kevin Bacon cancelled series about mass murderers). |
Nope, not drinking. I thought it was funny but also poignant. She has a great way of wording things and it touched me to hear how, more than being jealous of Adam and Jessa, she just missed them both.

Meh. It was a little on the sentimental side while lacking any depth. |
| I thought Sunday night's episodes were sublime. Hannah, Elijah, Adam, Hannah's parents - terrific. I do wish that Ray had shot down Marnie, although this was more realistic - I think him carrying her gear was tongue in cheek. Team Shosh! |
Yep, I agree. Best episodes yet w/fantastic acting by all. |
PP, great post. I completely agree that these episodes were out of the ordinary and they touched me too. Very moving. |
Isn't this the very end of the series? |
| No there is a coming season 6 which will be the last one. |
that's called sock-puppeting |
Really? Agreeing with a PP is sock puppeting? Interesting!
