This was our experience too. They wasted no time in locking us in. I think Arlington players should let coaches know they are shopping around to put fire under them. Unless the best Arlington players got offers before tryouts. Someone on here should post if they experienced this.

Yes most if not all of the top Arlington players from u11 and up had offers before these tryouts. The top 2 teams from u11 and up all had offers by early March. PA1 PA2 for u11/12 and Ecnl and RL u13 and up.

ugh... the folks that keep saying all offers are out on the girls side and your daughter will be on the lowest team or miss out are uninformed. the majority of players who have received red/white at u11/u12 "weeks ago" are the players "dropping down" in the age group or the ones from the waitlist for P1/P2. there were still slots left before tryouts this week. those are probably getting filled sometime between 5/6-5/11 depending on the coach and the trickle down in declines. it's all good folks, we gotta just be patient.

Just to caveat all the “absolutes” and “100% such and such happened at this time”, there is a lot of incorrect statements on here.

Don’t know what that means for you or your respective child, but these teams were full by X and all these offers went out by Y is just not factually correct. I guess just be patient, this year is a mess.

No. My daughter’s coach (she is currently a u12) told them at practice today that you only got a email at this point if you flat out didn’t make it, or are moving down a team. They are going to start sending out emails today, and they are starting with black and working their way up (strangely since I thought they always did the opposite, start with red/white and work their way down). All the u12 coaches know where all the girls ended up at this point (as communicated by the other girls in the carpool), and according to them, only one current travel player at u12 was cut, and that was due to a mistake in her parents apparently signing her up for the wrong age tryouts. The coaches usually talk to girls moving down, and my understanding is that they did that during today’s practice. I am hearing this second hand from 11 and 12 year olds, so take it worth a grain of salt!

They have screwed up the u12 boys teams & coaching assignment so badly at the PA level that way more players are leaving (rejecting offers) than returning. Would bet that means there is still a lot of movement happening all the way down.

Talked to lots of parents tonight at practice (current U11 boy). No one at the white/blue/black level seems to have offers. So patience, y’all. Sounds like early next week.

We rejected U12 A1 offer so I know my kids spot is open.

My DD is a current U11 red and got an offer for U12 red for next year two weeks ago. Do with that info what you will. Only one other family we are close to on the team also got their offer for U12 red weeks ago

DD is playing U10 red and got an offer for U11 white…we are disappointed and will look at other options before making a decision. Not super excited at what the coaching will look like at that level
