I don't know how they can sue her. None of this was a secret. Her arrest was televised on SLOMW. The police report and video have been in evidence since 2023 and could have been obtained via a FOIA request (likely how TMZ got them). She has talked about it and said she was the aggressor in interviews years ago. The show says they do background checks and there is a video circulating of someone who hosted an ABC Bachelor spin off and he said they did a thorough background check on him. Her Feb 2026 DV case is still under investigation - no charges yet. Unless her contract specific no further arrests / charges allowed and she does get arrested / charged, I don't know what they could sue her for. This was all out in the open and available to them. |
Thank you. Everyone is being weirdly vindicative about this. "She needs to be held accountable!" Sure...which is why she was charged and convicted of two counts of felony domestic assault. You don't get to sit here and henpeck about how her life needs to be ruined when you watch men continue to have a career after domestic assault convictions all the f ucking time. BTW, how many of you were on Johnny Depp's side during that fiasco? |
| I don’t think she needs to be sued but I don’t think she needs to be on television anymore. |

If I saw a video of a woman laughing and smiling for the camera and saying "Look, Bob, this is what you ALWAYS do, look at yourself, I'm filming you" and screaming about how "Oh, the kid is in the room!" but then continuing to egg her abusive husband on, I'd think she was an idiot. Like, you can't be that worried if you're shoving a camera into an alleged "abuser's" face. If you're that worried about your kid, focus on deescalating and getting the kid to safety. But he wasn't worried about any of that because he was probably egging her on for hours and then conveniently turned the camera on.
I called the police on my neighbor in my 20s because I could hear him screaming at a woman and punching the wall. She was not responsive. My best friend is currently going through this with her neighbor, in a tony Georgetown condo of all places. And every time the husband starts screaming the wife starts crying and saying "John, stop, please stop." She isn't laughing and screaming back about "I'M FILMING YOU!!!" Taylor is not a good person and she deserved to catch those charges but I'm not gonna sit here and hem and haw over two idiots abusing each other when the only true victim is the child who was accidentally hit. |
Exactly. She and Derek or Darren or whatever the hell his name is both need to be in substance abuse programs and parenting classes and intensive therapy. |
First, no, I was not "this mad when Colton Underwood was allowed to stay on Traitors" because I don't even know what that is. As far as Steffon Diggs, he was playing ball, he wasn't literally making money off of cameras being on him literally because of an inability to self regulate. |
The Bachelorette wasn't just pulled because of a three-year old charge. Taylor wrapped shooting on The Bachelorette, where she got "engaged" to a guy, then turned around, came home, went right back to Dakota, and the police were promptly called in on yet another domestic. The video making the rounds is simply the straw that broke ABC's back, or maybe not even, they might have pulled the show anyway whether this video surfaced or not. |
Got it, so you're cool with it when a man is allowed to continue his career after domestic assault convictions. It's only a woman who needs to be "held accountable." |
Seems like a bit of a double standard. So it's okay if actors and athletes commit felony domestic violence but as long as it's an athlete, it's okay? Wtf? |
I suspect production companies will be much more careful about casting going forward. This mess is costing a lot of jobs and a lot of revenue. It’s a fine line between casting a compelling, edgy personality and casting a psychopath. Clearly producers made the wrong call here. |
I have little doubt that this is in her contract. They are called "morality clauses" and tend to have language that results in consequences for talent that engage in behavior that brings themselves or the show into "public disrepute, contempt, scandal, or ridicule." No way they took on a mess like TFP without a clause like this to protect the network's reputation and shield themselves from losing advertising revenue (Cinnabon was the first to exit from partnering with the show, and did so before that video came out). And this is The Bachelorette -- she spoiled the allure of the whole show with going back to Dakota before the show aired, which probably violates a clause in her contract in some way as well. |
| Dakota's making jokes about Taylor on TikTok. Wow. Seems like someone who was really concerned for his life! |
Are you ABC General Counsel or something? You're making a lot of assumptions. |
I think this couple is toxic as hell and I don’t think it is appropriate for them to get the general public involved in their issues, especially when there are children involved. This is immature. |
You are stupidly setting up a false dichotomy. Of course Steffon Diggs should be held accountable (and I'll point out here that he got into a fight with his chef, not a romantic partner while in the room with a toddler). Hopefully he is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. But the Super Bowl is not reality tv -- it isn't a show like SLOMW specifically created to showcase and reward the emotional lability and violent inclinations of it's main cast member, nor is it a show like The Bachelorette specifically created to find a new romantic partner for someone who has a clear and documented track record of violently abusing at least one prior partner, as well as a small child. |
