They could keep the exact same curriculum, including the standard liberal arts 1st year courses, just eliminate the 2nd year admissions guessing game.

I think the benefits of not being direct admit to McIntire is that it allows the students to explore more and engage in classes and activities before making a committment to this track.

And delayed start on the undergraduate side shows what the student can do in college (classes/activities etc) vs just their high school record.
