pp here again. Upon further investigation, the list is basically entirely fake. The only republican-led city listed under the Republican list is Baton Rouge. Good grief. No wonder democrats make such nutty decisions. |

Yes, those are states. The list was about "republican-led cities" vs "democrat-led cities". State are not administrators for local governments. Local governments have their own elections, elected officials, and governing bodies. They really need to get back to teaching civics. |
18/19 of them are either democratic or they have non-partisan local elections. One city, Baton Rouge, is led by a Republican. This list is clearly a pile of crap, with many of the cities appearing on both lists. |
This is so delusional. Like I can’t get allegera-d for a decade without a pharmacist because Vance’s pillbilly brethern in Appalachia love meth. But sure there’s only crime in blue cities. |
You can keep picking on a word but numbers are facts. |
Exactly! So tell the federal government to get out of there and let them govern. |
And yet people flock to cities? If cities are so bad, why do most people want to be there? Why do young people leave their rural towns for cities? Why are cities the economic engines of states? Why do cities have the most educated populations? Rural America is dying. |
I live in NYC (enjoy it and have no plans to leave) and am a lifelong Democratic voter. The first PP isn’t saying anything inaccurate at all? NYC is in fact extremely dense and I unfortunately smell weed and see mentally unstable hobos daily. Sometimes multiple times a day. I totally agree with MAGA and anyone else who will say it aloud that there are a lot of issues in big cities caused by antisocial or crazy people acting up in public spaces and negatively affecting normal law abiding citizens. It’s a function of many things, including that progressive city councils tend to do things like decriminalize weed and pass laws that ease punishment/enforcement of small/“quality of life” crimes and in some cases (like in NYC) eliminate bail, which allows repeat offenders back onto the streets. Like I said, I choose to live here anyway and pay a lot of money to do so (obviously I do not think the city is a hellscape), but these issues exist and denying them isn’t particularly helpful to Democrats. It makes you look clueless at best and disingenuous at worst. |
I’m an ES teachers I had a friend of a rural relative ask me, “Ooh. Is there a lot of violence and drugs in your school?”. I was was like, “No, but you just had a meth lab seized 3 blocks away from your HS”. |
Lmao 18 out of 19 of the cities have democrat mayors and district attorneys! Do you think people just can't do a basic google search? |
Oh really? Then why do you keep blaming the woes of LA and SF on Newsome? |
Everyone has different priorities. You care about the ease of procuring allergy pills and I care about avoiding proximity to crime and unstable drug addicted strangers. DC or NYC sounds like a great fit for your desires, enjoy the urban vibrancy. |
Yeah, and St. Louis is on both lists. Looks like a chatGPT hallucination. |
| Why is no one bringing up Bismarck, Bozeman, Salt Lake City, Jackson Hole, and Boise. They’re cities in Republican states with lax gun laws. Shouldn’t they be incredibly dangerous? |
