Why does she need a car allowance those are usually for people's jobs that require driving like sales reps etc where they either get a company car or allowance |
Reid isn’t a very good superintendent but she’s done a great job of exploiting the school board’s belief that she shares their progressive values in order to take county taxpayers for a ride. Grifters gonna grift. |
Let's compare them to schools up north shall we. |
Hello MAGA |
Ok MAGA |
Hey Everyone, MAGA here and proud of it. Thank God Trump won and carried the swing states 7-0 and is bringing the country back to normal. It’s great to control the Presidency, the House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court. And thank God the Democrats will run an unelectable like Kamala Harris or Jasmine Crockett in 2028 so JD Vance or someone normal who wants America to be great will continue all of President Trump’s work. Everyone have a great Sunday. MAGA signing off! |
Since “the north” is part of “the nation”, the comparison is already incorporated and FCPS is still the top schools in the nation. |
As a teacher in a vulnerable population, I don’t get the impression she likes poor kids or EL learners. |
MAGA: don’t assume I’m maga just because we disagree. Ok, MAGA. MAGA: damn right in maga. Good heavens you trumpers are dense. |
Different poster, Einstein. |
There is no where FCPS is the top school system in the nation, not even close. Never has been. |
Someone recently said something that really stuck with me. It seems like the school board lacks real oversight over Reid. She is extremely seasoned and knows how to play the game, while many on the board are just using their roles as stepping stones into broader political ambitions. They are more focused on posturing for constituents than actually doing the work of governance.
It is wild that Moon and Sizemore are running for the same seat, and Frisch is still sitting on the board after losing a VA House of delegates race (https://www.washingtonblade.com/2022/10/10/gay-school-board-member-loses-race-for-va-house-of-delegates/). It gives the impression that very few of them are truly invested. They just default to trusting Reid like she is infallible, and she knows how to exploit that. The deeper issue, though, is with the voters. Too many people cast ballots strictly along party lines, blue or red, without actually researching who these candidates are or what they stand for. If you do not do the homework, this is what you end up with. Performative leadership and political climbers pretending to care about schools. No offense, but people need to wake up. Until voters start holding candidates accountable and choosing competence over affiliation, we are going to keep getting the same dysfunction, repackaged every cycle as representation. |
Being anti rape in schools is a bad thing? You are truly lost. |
It's a sad but true fact that we currently have the superintendent and School Board that we deserve. |
She drives to multiple schools and events during the week. I’m sure it’s just a benefit of the job. My husband has a company car (with gas card) and he just drives to the office daily. He attends an off-site meeting once or twice a month. |
