+10000 Most of us Americans would be fleeing these South and Central American countries for the same reasons these asylum seekers are. Sure, there are bad apples mixed in but we know 90% of them are decent people seeking a better life. Pea-brained "Republicans" and "Democrats" always want to point the finger across the aisle as opposed to realizing and acknowledging the long standing failures to reform our immigration laws by politicians of both of our two awful major political parties |
'Reform our immigration laws' means amnesty and more immigration. Most Americans, if they were in these South and Central American countries, would be leaving as well, for the same fraudulent reasons. |
DOGE's look through Social Security has found more than 30. At what point does the problem become 'widespread'? |
Yes Biden was doing a backdoor amnesty by having DOJ drop cases in immigration court. |
True and the more important aspect of this is that non citizens that are in the US and somehow able to vote, would by majority support the candidates of the political party that has a stronger stance on border security and limiting the amount of non citizens entering the country. They don't want the bad apple gang members here making them look bad and they don't want job competition that comes from more undocumented people seeking employment in the same lines of work. "Watering down voter rolls" is a very stupid statement. |
Not a trustworthy source, but when it is larger than the margin of error for a start. We also want to know how many people who are legally eligible to vote are turned away? How many people has doge put on the death list for LOLs? |
Not correct. A lower standard called "reasonable suspicion" is sufficient for initiating a traffic stop. Reasonable suspicion means the officer has a reasonable basis to suspect a crime has been or is about to be committed. The fact that she’s illegal means she’s currently committing a crime. The stop is legal. She broke the law it’s not that hard. |
Federal law enforcement officers have the authority to pull over someone that is presenting a threat to the public. Whether or not this person was presenting a threat to the public is matter for debate. It's all a mess created by our two recent awful presidents. |
ICE can pull a vehicle over if they have reasonable suspicion it contains undocumented people. They knew she was undocumented. They had the right to pull her over, and if ordered, she needs to get out of the car. This is on her. If you don’t want to believe people here, take it from an immigration law firm. https://www.downeybrand.com/legal-alerts/ice-traffic-stops-now-what/ |
Fair enough. It is what it is and what it is is an unnecessary mess created by two awful POTUSs and a dysfunctional Congress. |
Reasonable articulable suspicion (RAS) is the actual term. ICE doesn’t do traffic stops. The whole thing isn’t legal. They have no RAS here of a crime. |
Look 2 posts up. The Iimigration law firm disagrees with you. I bet they know more than you on the subject. |
What was their reasonable suspicion that the car was operated by the suspected driver? Can’t go just on appearances. |
They knew who she was. It’s right in the article. It’s not appearance, they were watching her specifically.
|
If any police officer instructs you to step out of your car, failure to follow those instructions a lead to arrest. Police don’t need a warrant. She was told to get out of the car, she refused. Her daughter is confused in thinking they need a warrant to require her to get out. Your car isn’t some special place. |
