Is this legal???

I can't believe it. Watch the video. It's heartbreaking. Horrifying.

I don't speak much Spanish, but it appears they didn't have a judicial warrant.

OMG. This is our country????

I'm sure you'd all be cheering if it were a grandma who had walked into the Capitol Building being terrorized by the FBI.

She refused to obey the orders of law enforcement and found out. When law enforcement tells you to get out of the car, there is no Constitutional right to refuse to obey them and sit in your car thinking your magic window shields you from following the instructions of law enforcement. She found out.

Are you a lawyer? Do you know anything about immigration law?

I don't believe this is legal, but prove me wrong.

Plenty of links in this thread showing that it is legal.

All true but you have to admit this circumstance is an unnecessary consequence of having two awful presidents with ridiculously conflicting protocols in dealing with undocumented immigrants. None of this is necessary. This is all a product of crappy leadership at the top.

We're better than this.

Or, she could have obeyed the order to get out of the vehicle. She certainly didn’t make it better for herself.

I would have and you probably would have as well but if we didn't have legal residency in the US, we'd probably be reluctant to obey such an order from the Federal Police as well. I have empathy for my fellow human beings in that situation. It's an unnecessary situation caused by ugly politics and dysfunctional government.

No it’s caused by being in another country illegally. If she didn’t do that, she’s not in this "situation". Her choices caused this.

It's called empathy. You should try it. These are mostly good people seeking a better life and more opportunity for themselves and their families. They are caught up in the political games of our awful leaders.

No, it's not political games; it's reality that you can't just enter a country illegally, live there without permission, and ignore authority figures. There are desperate people all over the world. They cannot all move here.

Would you STFU! Your posts are identical. Do you have any other thoughts in your troll head?

Clearly you have never met an undocumented immigrant. I've met many. Almost every one of them has endured violence so horrific you simply can't imagine it. Yet, they managed to get themselves to safety in the US. They want what every one of us wants -- a safe place to live, a job, a decent roof over their heads, good schools for their kids, etc. They are running from criminals, and there are jobs here for them. If you were as desperate, you would run to the US too, for safety.

I support the concepts of a secure border and legal immigration but not to the extent where I close my heart and mind to humanity.

God I hope you end up having to migrate to save your life, only to rely on soulless ghouls to see you as human. Let me guess, you are "Christian"?

This is indeed scary. If I were Hispanic, I would be scared to leave my house.

Trump got elected because he said he would do this and now he has to follow through. MS-13 is just an excuse to deport brown people.

She’s 51 years old! MS-13 is young violent people.

So as you keep your heart and mind open, you support the concept of a secure border but still think there should be no limits as to the number of people who should be able to move here and live here illegally?

No dimwit. Like any normal American, I want the border completely secured first and foremost. That should be priority number one along with reforming our immigration and asylum protocols. Deporting those here illegally who have proven to be a threat to society can be done in a methodical and cautious manner so not to be wrongfully deporting innocent people with a legal right to be here. Yanking people off the street who haven't done anything wrong other than to seek asylum in a land that offers more opportunity is not what anyone with an IQ over 80 wants.
