Enough with bathroom issues, gender affirming care for minors, and all of these other ID issues. The economy and mass illegal immigration are way more important and what voters care about the most.

+1 I think they will move right

+1 I'm a Harris voter. I'm personally not against immigration and I hate the demonization of undocumented immigrants. That being said, it's clear that Democrats have either intentionally or unintentionally focused way too much on identity politics. They really need to look back on the Obama years. The ACA is an achievement but its benefits for working people are pretty limited. The middle class is hollowing out. What are they really doing for working people? I abhor Trump and his rhetoric, but Democrats really need to figure out a message beyond "Trump is terrible". I don't really understand what they are doing with immigration. I'm glad they don't hate immigrants, but Biden and Harris have really not had a coherent approach to it. It doesn't seem like they care?

Obama should go down in history as probably the worst President of the modern age. The Great Divider blew a historic opportunity to unite this country racially. He did just the opposite. Everything about him was about race. He poured gasoline on the racial tensions in the country. Perfect example was his 2009 White House Beer Garden Summit. In fact, there's a strong argument that Trump was elected in 2016 as blow back from 8 years of the Great Dividers policies and the fact that no one wanted to see Pants Suit in the White House.

You and I could be friends IRL I totally agree. This is when the world went sideways. This exact moment. Then the division, then the hate anyone that doesn't belive what you do. "inclusiveness" gone especially if your christian (the devil) or republicans (super devil). Life has not been the same again.

Another poster who agrees with you both. We are simply deplorables who "cling to our guns and Bibles."

I'm the PP. I don't even own a gun. I just can't stand the identity politics of the modern day Democrats. It's toxic and ripping this country apart. Just please stop. I don't care what race, sex, religion, sexuality, ethnicity, etc a person is. MLKJr was spot on...it's about the content of one's character. And the other huge issue I have with the Dems is their push for socialist policies and the forced distribution of wealth. This should scare every single American. Capitalism is not perfect but it has brought more people out of poverty than any other economic system ever tried. It's not even close. I have no problem with entrepreneurs like Bezos or Musk becoming billionaires. Wish we had a million more like them. Just think of the sheer number of tax-paying jobs they have created both directly in their companies and the secondary and tertiary companies that came after, the innovations they helped pioneer, and the efficiencies they developed. Dems want to kill the golden goose with their excessive tax proposals and spending. Dems should get out of the way and remove barriers and unnecessary regulations and reduce the size of the government.

Well, brace yourself because Musk said that as cabinet member, that Americans "should brace for economic hardship." He says things will only be bad for a couple of years before they rebuild the economy from the bottom up. He has taken billions in federal contracts, but now that he's rich, he's going to ask you to suffer. Only for a couple of years.

You can read about it in NBC news, and then look at the comments of Trumpsters saying in the X post that they're ready to tighten their belts. I hope you are too! Egg prices will not be going down.

What does it matter why someone votes the way they do on the issues they find important. My vote counts just as much as yours does.

Also, what happened with my body, my choice when it came to covid vaccines? My body my choice is just that, "my body MY choice." Yet biden and his fed vax mandate. I can't EVER forgive that. EVER.

I live in Illinois where my first grader couldn't even go to McDonalds without a covid vax card (everyone over age 5 had to have one to enter a place of business.) This lasted a couple months until the restaurant owners apparently protested and it was quietly dropped. And our obese governor got reelected after that!
I'll never forget Pfizer waiting to announce their shot until Biden was safely declared the winner. They put specimens in the freezer to be analyzed later so they wouldn't have any good news on Trumps watch. Couldn't untold lives have been saved?
I'll really never forget Biden in front of his red backdrop talking about a winter of illness and death. I went to work faithfully at the hospital every day while that ilk sat in their home offices but I'm the enemy.

If you look at the two candidates and actually think---Trump is the better choice and you just cannot wrap your head around voting for Kamala, most likely you are misogynistic and racist. Most non-MAGA Republicans and ex trump staff and cabinet members have come out for Harris. And have stated why. So if you just cannot imagine voting for her, there is a lot more than just policy. Or you actually want a fascist dictator, racist pig and misogynist in the WH again.

this is your opinion. For me trump is the logical choice.

Because you’re a fascist, and all his promises of violence and retribution, his plans to destroy democracy: you like all of that.

Wasn't it the Dems that tried to remove Trump from the ballot in Colorado, Maine, and another state? Doesn't sound very democratic to me. Wasn't it the Dems that essentially removed their primary-nominated candidate and installed a new Presidential candidate without a primary and thus preventing their voters from having a say? Doesn't sound very democratic to me.

Do you even know what fascism means?

Pretty sure John Kelly does.

We've never had a felon on the ballot before, so a few states had to get their bearings.

A felony from a political persecution/witch hunt. No one cares about a felony from a justice system Democrats abused.

You guaranteed a 2024 Trump victory the day they filed charges.

You can “but but January 6th!!” all you want but this is on all of you. You overplayed a winning hand.

Plus, the Democratic Party will send their shock-troops in Antifa, DSA, BLM, and antisemite groups to burn, loot, and murder just like they did across the US in 2020.

Wow you really are looney tunes.

I mean they did setup their own lawless zone (CHAZ) in Seattle to have space to throw their temper tantrums. You can't deny it didn't exist. Democrats allow anarchy like that to happen. No one wants that trash near them..

So anarchists are democrats? News to me.

then you haven't been watching the news very much - the party's move to anarchy started with the 2020 riots, its support of Hamas against Israel, and the wide open southern border that allowed South American drug gangs to take over in Colorado, NYC, and elsewhere. this is not your Dad's Democrat party.

the riots were mostly right wingers using the Floyd protests to cause trouble. fact.

Fiction.

And the looters were mostly getting baby formula and condoms from CVS instead of high end tech, clothes, and appliances.

Kamala is not a progressive. Enough with your BS.

Correct.

Kamala is a neo-Stalinist.

The Democrat party is too far left, imo. They pander to progressives and fringe activist groups. They have become a socialist party, trying to spend trillions of dollars in new entitlement programs when the ones we have are in the verge of insolvency and we have trillions of dollars in debt/deficits. They believe in open borders and refuse to fix the laws on the border to give this country the security it deserves. They focus on identity politics, DEI, CRT, and trans issues. All the people who are asking why so many people are voting for Trump, the above us why I already voted for Trump - to try to bring some sanity back to this country in the face of Democrat’s extreme left policies.

Bump. There’s a lot of arguing going on, but, honestly, I don’t even care at this point about one guy’s character, I’m just genuinely curious if anybody who is for him can explain to me why I shouldn’t be worried about cutting all of the necessary programs that we’ve learned to live with as a society and rigging the system so there will be heavily gerrymanders elections for the foreseeable future. Please explain to me how that’s going to be fine? I’m just trying to keep a level head here.

PREACH!!!!! I TOTALLY AGREE.

So because you're mad that one employer decided to exercise their right to set policy for their employees and fire them if they don't comply, your response is to vote for the party that wants to allow every employer to fire every employee for any reason at any time? And you want to vote for the party that appointed a supreme court justice most famous for his ruling that an employer was within their rights to sue an employee for abandoning his truck full of company property rather than freeze to death?

And you wonder why we call Trump supporters stupid.

Good. Someone honest for once. Trillion plus dollar deficits aren't sustainable. The longer things are "kicked down the road", the harder the eventual day of reckoning.

Are you an extreme antifa lib? How is the average American child ok with public education today under Biden? It’s a disaster. Indoctrination 101. And as far as the public education goes, why do almost all the Dem elites send their kids to private schools?
