I have found plenty of fat women beautiful so I'm pretty sure when others say that, they mean it too. Just because it's not ever to your taste doesn't mean this applies to all others. I would never be as trashy a person as you so please understand there are all types in the world.

They were probably more equal when they first met and before kids.

Look at pierce brosnan and his wife. They may look mismatched now but when they were first married, they made a perfect couple.

Many men age better than women. I can think of a few women in my circles who just aren’t aging well. Their husbands look good/better while the women are aging really poorly (weight gain, wrinkles). Unfortunately if the woman was really hot, it makes a much bigger drastic difference.

Usually they get fat after a pregnancy and don't bother losing weight because they sre "too tired." Then they just eat their sadness away.

Need more info. Are you referring to the time when they are young at their wedding or much later in the marriage like their 40s or 50s? If it's later in the marriage, it's quite possible the man's attractiveness improved with age and the woman's declined which often happens. If it's when they are young at their wedding, this simply doesn't happen ever except for extremely rare cases and there's most likely something else going on. A good-looking young man will never go shlubby ugly. Never. Too many attractive young women out there so no reason to lower standards.
