Who is the curmudgeon who needs to learn how easy most breakfast foods are? Aside from the poster who was on an island in the Mediterranean, nothing on this list is unattainably difficult or even particularly time-consuming.

A good breakfast is an act of self-care. Beyond just the "most important meal of the day" bit, it gives you something happymaking in the first part of your day, and can set the tone for a better day. Not just because you're fueled (which also helps), but because you're pleased. Breakfast is love, y'all.

Maybe if you are a SAHM. Or married to one.

I made egg salad last night, assembled sandwiches, and my kid washed/cut strawberries. Breakfast was grab-and-go. You might have to wake up earlier if you want a full English, but most of these meals are prep-ahead friendly.

But yes, having an at-home partner devoted to doing that labor for me would be lovely. What a luxury!

Trader Joe's.

cottage cheese, strawberries, scones, coffee

And then, for second breakfast, egg burritos w/ cheese, peppers, onions and black beans on low-carb tortillas, and more coffee

Cake and coffee. I regret nothing!

Sounds like a lot of food.

Caprese salad minus the basil because it went bad. I eat a caprese salad or spicy tofu stew most mornings. I don’t know why but I always feel better (mentally) when I get a lot of calcium in early in the day.

Oatmeal with some applesauce, walnuts, and maple syrup. So good.

Sautéed onion and zucchini with a soft-medium egg and a little brown rice. Side of buttered challah toast with blueberry jam. Coffee with cream.
