I’m from TX and I avoid Bucee’s like the plague. It’s crowded in a TX way. It’s huge in a TX way. It’s loud in a TX way. . . . and everyone is over 300 lbs. They have clean restrooms, BUT the people coughing and sneezing all over them will still make you sick. |
I love people who take a stand against purchasing luxury goods. Do you talk about your aversion to these brands? Do you sneer at people with LV purses or Chanel sunglasses? I mean, this is like saying you won't ever visit Eritrea. When and how does this ever come up? |
I rarely go but when I do, I marvel at all the things they have that I never knew I wanted. I'm sad for you that you don't get to enjoy this. |

I suppose I have to be Captain Obvious.
I avoid slaughter houses and chicken farms. Actually, I avoid all concentrated feeding operations (CAFOs) because of the smell. I don’t necessarily avoid the food though. |
I went in once and the restrooms were fine. But no cleaner than any of the highway rest stops I’ve been to lately. As a gimmick, I was unimpressed. |
I use to go to Red Lobster because they integrated when it was illegal. |
Yeah, but I think some people do. It's got its own vibe and its an institution in a lot of places, so I think it's possible. |
I think you're making their point...

LWNJs own Ben and Jerry’s. Plus it’s way overpriced; they are super-greedy. |
It’s like $1 more than the generic store brand, but ok. |

There are so many premium brands now that B&J's is on the low-end... yes, still more expensive than store bought, but a lot of the money does still go to good causes. I'm just not in love with all the flavors—I prefer a simpler... I love Jeni's for that (which is more expensive), but the kids love all the B&J wackiness. |
They sold out to corporate interests a long time ago. Unilever is the owner and any virtue signaling is literally virtue signaling. |
