bias

Did I miss something? Is he well-known for being religious? Or having controversial religious views?

I wasn't referring to his bias here. I was referring to the bias of the people who claimed this was all religious persecution. They are biased to absurd conspiracy theory.

He was leading the Jewish Educators Alliance. Recognizing and calling out antisemitism is not "conspiracy theory."

No, but claiming that students, parents, school staff, and the police worked together to concoct a false story of abuse because he's Jewish is a wild conspiracy theory.

Who said that? No one.

How often does MCPS call the police over an in school incident?

Did MCPS want him gone no matter what happened?

I'm just trying to understand what the "religious persecution" crowd seems to think.

Now you're saying you think there really was an assault, but if he hadn't been Jewish then everyone would have covered it up?

You want a list of all the crimes MCPS has covered up? You got all night?

And instead of being happy this team did the right thing by reporting what happened you have sour grapes that those crimes were covered up and his crimes weren’t.

If he is found guilty, will he get his state and local pension? Any or partial? Does anyone actually know the answer to this question? So tired of bleeding money for people committing crimes and cover ups

I read up thread that they’re advertising a principal position at the school. If he is found innocent or not guilty what happens to his job? Does he get to be a principal at another school or assigned to central office?

They wouldn't be talking about crimes that they'd covered up since they were covered up.

Covered up = no charges ever filed. There is a whole list of times John Vigna was caught with little girls on his lap over 20 years that were never reported. It took one little girl recently to speak up and get him convicted. He was kept on the payroll, kept his teaching license and allowed to retire even with guilty verdict. Just recently he finally confessed that he had lied all those years and he really was guilty of sexually abusing all those little girls. MCPS was happy to have him lie for over 20 years even with eye witnesses.

This entire situation just makes me sad for everyone involved (and for many of the comments on this thread).

I know this principal and had many conversations with him when my child was at Barnsley. I am not specifically a fan or a critic, just experienced him as someone trying to do his job. I didn't always agree with his takes and would say he had an unrealistic expectation that kids would have positive behaviors and compliance at all times, which is just not realistic. But he could also be reasoned with.

Whatever happened I can say he didn't have a record of physical interactions with children so I can imagine he lost his temper and now is paying the consequences. That is something I can imagine happening to many people.

I am sad for the kid who experienced that from a trusted adult, for the kids who were witnesses, and for that school community.

It's just all so unfortunate.

Which is the prevailing mindset among many admin and leaders within MCPS....

Richie Park Principal assaulted a student and was then hired by the former BOE member Scott Joftus.

"Winter has been on leave from Montgomery County Public Schools and currently is an associate at FourPoint Education Partners, whose president is former Board of Education member Scott Joftus.

According to his bio on the company website, Winter 'recently joined the FourPoint Education Partners team as a school-based administrator expert.'"

He is no longer listed on the FourPoint website. And the link from the MyMCMedia article to his bio has been removed.

Where is the crazy Stan who declared that he couldn't have done anything wrong because FourPoint wouldn't have allowed hiring him while he was on leave if he had done something like this?
