She is awful!

The AP who replace him at RP or the principal now at Barnsley?

The currently Barnsley principal. I quite like the Ritchie park AP and think she’s probably to thank for getting Winter out of RP.

Wow, that principal deserves what he gets. He should not be in charge of kids.

Why did this take 4 months? I don’t like paying for child beaters to sit on leave

Winter was way better than the woman who replaced him. She has been terrible for the school.

He is apparently still on admin leave and being paid!

He’s a horrible person. I worked with him many years ago. Didn’t buy the pulling on the hoodie and traffic story. I know what a psycho he is, so none of this surprises me. He should be fired. Immediately. Mcps has no money to waste on child abusers.

I saw a teacher do this to a child at an outside gathering (I was one of the only parents there) and as far as I could see no one else was near enough to see it. There was no immediate danger. This teacher ( a specialist not a main teacher) is on the way to retirement and from what my DC says she is always angry with the kids. I reported it to the principal and I doubt anything happened.

Agree. Also used to work for him and he was awful. He should be held accountable if the video footage is clear and the other students corroborate the footage

How so?

He's got a nasty temper. Used to work with him and witnessed him grab kids by their clothes and scream in kids faces multiple times. He's been investigated for something similar in a past school, but managed to skirt by any charges. He's also a super creep and is really inappropriate with female teachers- extra long hugs and such. They have the assault on video, so there is no question he stomped on the kids foot. No child deserves that treatment.

Good for the two students who said something to the teacher! I’m not sure my second grader would be brave enough to report it. Also, glad the teacher did something and not just dismissed the students’ claims.

Richie Park Principal assaulted a student and was then hired by the former BOE member Scott Joftus.

"Winter has been on leave from Montgomery County Public Schools and currently is an associate at FourPoint Education Partners, whose president is former Board of Education member Scott Joftus.

According to his bio on the company website, Winter 'recently joined the FourPoint Education Partners team as a school-based administrator expert.'"
