Yeah, that has zero chance of being enacted. Lots of talk, very few results.

You willing to take that chance? The USC has shown they're not going to even try to keep Trump in check. At the very least, it should concern you that this is literally a road map of a major governing party's intentions.

I think Republicans are afraid that undecided and wishy washy maybe voters will read Project 2025 and realize what the GOP plans are and vote accordingly. I think a lot of Republicans refuse to read it themselves because they will realize that what they have thought of as “liberal hyperbole” about their party is real, that the GOP does plan on installing a non-democratic, highly partisan government.

And that’s even without considering Agenda 47 and the GOP’s stated plans on birth control and abortion.

People lived through Trump presidency and they lived through Biden's presidency. They are smart to make their own decisions without your propaganda.

No. I did not like Trump, but nothing bad happened to me in 4 years. In fact, our lives were slightly better than it is during Biden presidency, even though we voted for Biden.

Is that why you are numb?

Not OP but a lot of Biden votes are waking up. It is embarrassing to say, but the woke are getting awakening.

It’s not “my propaganda,” it’s the Republican Party platform. People wouldn’t be “smart” to make their own decisions without information on what the Republicans plan to do if they win.

The GOP is planning to remake the entire political structure of the country, effectively destroying democracy. Seems relevant that people should know that the GOP all came together to make these plans. Because it’s not an idle they-kind-of-want-to, it’s whole processes. They have lists of volunteers of people who would come and staff the newly partisan governmental agencies after the GOP administration fires all the non-political people. They intend to make the government thoroughly Republican in order to enable dismantling democracy.

That’s not propaganda. That’s what they want to do.

I'd like to remind everyone that Jan 6 wasn't just a random day. It was the day our votes were being counted in Congress. Trump had a plan that required Pence to delay the count so Trump could stay President. The only reason it didn't work is that one man, Pence, refused.

Bottomline for me is that Trump has shown he doesn't respect the Constitution.

And they are already doing it where possible. For example, youngkin’s veto of the bill to ensure access to birth control.

And let’s just consider the GOP’s quiet celebration of Alito’s support of an insurrection against the United States and the silence on Trump’s call for a unified reich.

Bottomline for me is that Trump has shown he doesn't respect the Constitution.

Grassley was all lined up to do the certification once Pence was whisked away, a fact that the collective memory doesn’t seem to recall at all. It was not a peaceful demonstration, Trump knew they were armed and had more waiting and he didn’t care, they weren’t “there for him.”

Were it not for Eugene Goodman luring the insurrectionists away from the chamber, that day would have had a very different outcome. I think perhaps part of OP’s feeling of numbness is that we saw our country almost slip away from us and those who still prize their identity as Republicans first, Americans second have spent the last three years telling us that what we watched on television wasn’t bad at all.

We can all read Project 2025 and see what the GOP’s plans are if they win, but the Republicans on here say it’s great, they applaud it. American skates on a knife edge entirely of the making of one political party.

Don't kno where you are getting this from, but you have a big surprise coming. Suggest you get out and talk to people and take in a little less NY Times and MSNBC.

Democrats are not "talking down" to people. they are trying to explain nuance of complicated issues using words, and numbers. It is very different than, you know "DEI DEI DEI" or "STOP THE STEAL" or "BUT HER EMAILS" or "LAW AND ORDER" or "FAMILY VALUES" or any of the other simplistic slogans the GOP are great at conjuring up to draw outrage from the base.

the polling is pretty clear that Trump has never had mode than 50 percent of the vote and if you think young pro-choice voters are going to be turning out to a pro-gun, anti-abortion candidate in 2024, maybe you are the one who will have a surprise. When was the last time a GOP candidate outperformed what the polling indicated? Because for the Democrats, it has been a pretty consistent story since the 2018 elections.
