As for sports, Title IX covers amateur sports quite well (unless Biden or someone else changes it to include males as women). As for pro sports, it's a capitalist endeavor so female athletes are paid what they earn. Actually, I take that back. Many are paid more than they earn because they are subsidized by men's sports. No, I don't think the vast majority of the country is in favor of state legislators dictating medical treatment to pregnant women and their doctors when something goes wrong in later pregnancy. I think many people believe those decisions should be made by pregnant women and their doctors.

This is not about protecting women for Republicans. It’s about hurting transgender people.

This does concern assaults being committed by cisgender men. Because of self ID, men who are sex offenders can simply say they are women and enter women only spaces. The problem is not with trans women but with men who are able to take advantage of this. Just google stories about convicted male sex offenders claiming they are trans women in order to be housed in women’s prisons. This actually caused a huge controversy in Scotland which contributed to Nicola Sturgeon’s downfall. Also is what prompted Keir Stamer to stand against self ID. These stories exist in the US as well but not covered by the US press. But self ID is dangerous and UK progressives, liberals and leftists have finally woken up to its dangers.
