Absolutely. Our society and government should hyper-focus on ending child trafficking within our borders. It’s a national shame it’s so rarely mentioned.
People who traffic children should be locked up for life without parole. All of them. Build prisons. Keep them away from children and society forever.

This isn't about child sex trafficking, which we are all opposed to. This is about people who want to get you mad so you take the action they want you to take against whichever "enemy" they direct your anger toward. In the past, targets have included Comet pizza, the 2020 election results, and the Capitol building. Where will they tell us all good outraged people ["it's that simple"] should attack next?

Where have you seen the filmmakers encouraging any of that? You’re talking about QAnon nuts. Human trafficking is a non partisan issue or at least it should be. They are trying to bring awareness to the issue.

My husband's conservative cousin in Oklahoma shared this on Facebook about this movie.

"Disney owned the rights to this film with no plan to release it. Angel studios bought the rights. Took it to Amazon, got turned down. Took it to Netflix, got turned down. After a 5 year delay, was able to get it in 2600 theaters and beat out Disney’s Indiana Jones on July 4th. The film is based on a true story.
Truth > Fiction.

Now ask yourself, WHO is trying to slander it calling it a conspiracy while knowing it’s a true story. AND WHY?

Indiana Jones Budget $294.7 million
Sound of Freedom Budget $15 million

Indiana Jones (Disney) released in around 4600 theatres

Sound of Freedom (Angel Studios) released in around 2600 theatres

Indiana Jones July 4 collection-11.5 million

Sound of Freedom July 4 gross collection-14 million

When media praises the movie Cuties but condemns Sound of Freedom, that should tell you everything you need to know about the truth."

^^^^ and this is why I won’t see it.
Of course human trafficking needs to stop.
But ppl are using the movie to point fingers at something that doesn’t exist.
Media and movies don’t human traffic. The companies passing on this movie did so because of the star’s crazy a$$ theories and who is figuratively in bed with the real life person he plays.

Can't believe you think people are not influenced by what they see and hear whether it's violence, bestiality, porn, sexual torture, etc , media and movies do have an effect on those watching and hearing it. Those producing it make money off of it and laugh all the way to the bank.

You obviously haven’t seen it.
The enemy is anyone who rapes / abuses children, plus anyone who covers for these thugs. Period.

If we buy that, we also have to buy that you get to declare anyone you want a child trafficker so we can attack them, even if it isn't true. It is a great way to build yourself a mob to do your bidding.

I am not against this film. I think it would be great if they released it for free, or at least donate all the profits to a transparent non-profit that works against this crime. Sure!

I am against the whackjobs affiliated with this film making money from it.

I'm also against people acting like they are speaking with moral authority defending them by attacking people for criticizing.

Ballard tried to "bring awareness to" the issue of Wayfair trafficking children and Caviezel "tries to bring awareness to" the issue of Hollywood elites harvesting fictional body secretions from children as an elexir of youth. So we've got a movie that brings two nutbags to the fore already and is being championed by QAnon sympathizers who previously pushed conspiracy theories like the "rigging" of the 2020 election. This is enough for reasonable people who value credibility of sources to stay away. People who are clearly full of sh*t are not to be trusted when they make other wild allegations.

Holy crap! It is clear that this "training people to go after pedophiles" and "pedophiles are whoever we say they are" thing is the goal of this movie and QAnon, but what kind of additional crazy is it that noted criminal and national security risk Mike Flynn (real credible source there!!) comes out and says it publicly and the zombies still believe?!

Can someone succinctly explain the conspiracy theory about the movie being made (if it's not really a movie about human trafficking)?

There may be a kernel of truth about human trafficking, which is a thing that exists, but the point is to get gullible people so mad about human trafficking that they can be sicced on anyone who gets declared an enemy. The people who are promoting this film are using it to raise a mob.

Unlikely "enemies" that have been accused of human trafficking in recent years already include our local pizza place and online furniture retailer Wayfair. Anyone QAnon (or those who find QAnon useful) oppose could be next.

Additionally, while there is child trafficking, sadly, it exists in many ways than what everyone understands. And certainly not just here. But the movie is very misleading, exaggerated, and suggestive of things that are not true.
There are many kids on the street who have no homes- they come from toxic situations, some are involved in drugs, they've been thrown out because of LGBTQ issues. This is never explained, but the cabal pedophile ring conspiracy has really taken off in the last 10 years and it's underwriting the right extremist groups. Movies like this fuel that idea. Here's my question, I see no one from the Qanon or Maga group ever question the Catholic Church. They would have us believe that celebrities, Wayfair, liberals, and pizza joints orchestrated by Presidential candidates are behind this.

How exactly would that work? "Siccing" movie goers who oppose human traffickers on "the enemy?"

The only person I can think of who was recently accused all over the media and social media of being a human trafficker, and jailed and is being investigated, was Andrew Tate.

Maybe you should go watch the new Mission Impossible movie unless you think Tom Cruise has a secret "agenda" to convert everyone to scientology .

Lol.
