Prince Harry press lawsuit

Doesn't he have a lawyer to advise him? Or does he think he's smarter than his lawyer.

He has a demented wife, that's his problem.

He pines for a lot of things he lost (or more accurately lost when he threw a temper tantrum).

I imagine he regrets leaving the royal family. No one in the US cowtows to him like in England.

He had the best gig in the royal family. Senior enough for major perks, but not the actual life sentence of being monarch. Plus as William s kids grow and take up royal duties he would be in the spotlight less as he ages and be able to relax more.

It's shocking he threw that all away. Clearly not the brightest guy.

He had what Andrew had a few decades ago. No wonder he wanted out.

For real! Poor Eugenie and Beatrice were the butt of jokes for years, having done nothing to deserve it. Harry wanted a different life for his kids.

That's why you follow the path of Anne and Edward and don't give your kids titles and that special treatment.

Andrew insisted on all kinds of perks for his daughters so yeah, no fault of them, but out of line with this positions in the RF.

+1 Harry had the opportunity for incredible wealth and privilege, along with declining fame and media coverage. He chose to sink that opportunity. Instead he chose to go scorched earth with his family, although he did make a LOT of money doing it. It's clear that he has a problem playing #2 to his older brother, which is ironic because he wouldn't have been born into the wealth and privilege of the BRF if not for the primogeniture system.

She was young and naive and didn't know much about his family or his job.

She was 36, not 19 like Diana.

This! She was not "young" and naive at all.

Yes, we'll have to assume the "young and naive" poster was being sarcastic.

True, but he's demented too. It's not like some royal without Harry's mental health issues would have married her.

This is what I don’t get about Megan. It seems to me that the path was so clear before she married him. The media hazes you for years, there’s a lot of unfair criticism and hyper focus, but you get lots of fancy clothes and jewelry and relative comfort with no real intellectual heavy lifting … and in a few years, everyone forgets you because no one cares about a middle aged Royal who is not the regent (unless they do something really awful), at which point you still get the nice clothes and jewelry, can enjoy your hobbies, have a pet charity, all in exchange for showing up to some events in appropriate clothes and waving dutifully and generally keeping you mouth shut in public. I mean, it’s not a job for everyone, but the pros and cons seemed to me to be pretty well established. It does seem like a pretty good second career for an actress that doesn’t want to fight for dwindling roles in Hollywood and doesn’t have the connections/talent for directing or producing.

But your movement is heavily restricted and you can’t even choose how you dress. Imagine going from complete freedom to living with your co-workers. Everything you do in the privacy of your home is reported on. When I say co-workers, I’m not just talking about in-laws. There’s zero privacy, even behind closed doors. No thank you. Not worth it.

Not really. People don't really care about Sophie and Edward. Perks without the bs.

Exactly! It's hard to imagine why you would want to walk away from all the pros for the relatively small cons. Show up for the public events (the "job" part), accept that you have a lower status, and then enjoy all the perks for the remaining majority of your life.

It doesn’t seem to have occurred to Harry that there were people around him in the Army & Eton & elsewhere who didn’t like him very much.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/22603660/prince-harry-set-for-another-bombshell-day/

Yesterday, Harry was admonished over his allegations that a journalist must have hacked a phone for a story about him injuring his thumb at Eton College.

Pressed on which phone would have been hacked, the prince said he “can’t be sure”.

Mr Green responded: “That’s not an answer.” Harry said: “The doctor’s? I’m not sure.”

Mr Green then hit back: “Are we not, Prince Harry, in the realms of total speculation?”

The duke replied: “I’m not the one who wrote the article. You’d have to ask the journalist.”

The Duke of Sussex has also claimed phone hacking was used to find out how he had celebrated his 18th birthday - but the court heard it was in fact information he had already revealed himself in a public interview.

An article called No Eton Trifles for Harry used quotes taken from an interview Prince Harry gave to the Press Association (PA).

It revealed he was given a gift of golf clubs from his uncle Earl Spencer and would have a "quiet day at home with my father, my brother, and my family".

Mr Green told the court these details were actually said by Prince Harry himself in the PA interview.

Mr Green told the court: "The private information about which you complain in the Daily Mirror article had been revealed by you in an interview and published in many Sunday newspapers."

When questioned, Harry added: "The timing is suspicious."

Ouch.

+1 And the "lower status" is literally lower than only about 6-8 people in the country. Still more wealth and status than 99.9999999% of the rest of the world.

This is unacceptable. Prince Harry is king Charles's. And please stop referring to children as 'bastards'

+1. He's out there proving that he's the dim bulb most people suspected he was all along. The biggest mistake he's made is leaving the cover of his family who cleaned up his image. On his own he's doing everything to destroy all the goodwill that had been built up over the years.

Why does he need a narrative? Move to a remote island and live your life raising sheep. But to attend star studded events, glitzy award ceremonies, Oprah specials, and then demand nobody look at you or write about you is ridiculous. He wants to have his cake and eat it too.

So it's either being harassed by the press constantly or total isolation. those are the only two choices he has in life? you are DAF.

Dim doesn't even scratch the surface here. He's doing himself so much damage with this case and his imaginary slights, privately, publicly, long-term. Yikes.

Edward and Sophie tried to profit off the crown with their own media ventures. Elizabeth offered them a huge sum to stop and they took it. I assume they could have been working royals from the start but instead went another route. So no, they haven’t always been squeaky clean.

Also Sophie’s motorcade killed someone a week or so ago, so that’ll be another headache ($$$) for ole Charles.

Poor young Meghan, she knew nothing about the royal family. She didn’t have the resources to get information. Awww
