Get out of your bubble and look at the crisis abs say just how well Biden is doing!

Congress needs to fix it. Republicans and democrat reps share the blame here.

The Biden admin ran with the whipping Haitian immigrants narrative. No wonder no one wants to work Border Patrol when your own admin pillories you!

What about? What about? What about? What about?

Oh, look, we still have to follow the laws on the books. Only Congress can change the laws. It’s why we call them the legislative branch.

Biden isn't even doing that.
Allowing millions of migrants into our country is part of his plan.
We knew that from day 1 of his presidency when he rolled back all the actions that were working.

Yes, he is following the law. There is an asylum process. If the GOP doesn't like it, it can try to repeal it.

The asylum process is clearly being gamed and used in ways not intended. It’s well past time for Congress to fix it.

Guess who keeps voting against fising it?

GOP

Ryan wouldn't bring it to the House floor in 2011 when the Senate passed it and Obama said he would sign it, and the GOP in the Senate killed it last year.

So tell me, how will we reform it?

There are a group of House members at the border as we speak. They are at the RGB sector and will get a first-hand account of what Biden's lack of border enforcement has caused.

And, then there is this, from the Yuma sector......
Note.... the seizure of fentanyl he is referencing is NOT at the border entries.

Good, I expect those GOP House members to present legislation to fix it.

(they won't)

Nothing gets fixed from here on out on any issue. We simply collapse.

See Pournelle's Iron Law of Bureaucracy.

We are there.

Other than right to life/abortion issue is anyone else approaching the next presidential election as a single issue voter ?

If other than right to life/abortion, what is that issue ?

Biden has dedicated more money to border control.
He has authorized more drones and other equipment as requested from DHS.
He has more drug recovery than Trump.
He has more human interdictions than Trump.
He has more deportations than Trump.
He has invested more in Central America to address the root issues of people wanting to emigrate.

So to answer your question, you should be voting Democrat.

Generally these numbers are interpreted as the higher the number the more illegal imigration that is happening.
Uh, no.

Democrats have all 3 branches of government for the past 2 years…this problem got out of control with Biden in charge. So if so lot understand how having open borders and having millions of people cross over will be better by having Democrats staying in control?

Also throwing more money at the problem like more, judges, agents, surveillance won’t fix the issue if another 2million people cross the border next year. How many 100’s of billions of dollars do yo you want to spend on this? How many more crowded schools do you need that can’t get the kids in? How many more hotels in NY will be filled with migrants? Why is there suddenly billions of dollars available for this when we did not have billions of dollars to help our homeless, veterans, minority communities???????

The numerous examples in this thread prove without a doubt that conservatives' "outrage" over the border is entirely performative. It's their own form of "save America" virtue signaling.

You can't be serious. Though I know you are. Sure, nothing to see at the border. Nothing at all.

The well off in both parties look away at the companies that hire undocumented workers because it's all about the $$$. So what solutions do you propose?

Removing birth citizenship and going with citizenship like most sane developed 1st world countries have.

Not allowing undocumented children into schools

E-verify for all labor.

Extraordinarily high fines for people who rent to undocumented immigrants/require.proof of citizenship or legal stay to be able to rent

Require citizenship or legal residence proof for all utilities.

Remove the ability to obtain a driver's license without proof of legal residence or citizenship

Disallow all banking without proof of citizenship or legal residency

It's simple really. When you make it difficult to live in the country illegally, people will stop coming. Who is going to come to the US to live illegally if you can't drive, can't live anywhere, can't turn on the lights, cannot use banking when society keeps moving to cashless transactions, and you cannot send your kids to schools?

Make life impossible.

Can you prove that your ancestors entered this country legally? Oh, by the bye, you are truly despicable.

What a bizarre assumption. A lot of us can prove that our ancestors entered this country legally because it happened within last 100 years.

Sorry this doesn’t fit the GOP talking points. They’re interested in hurting others, not what is best for America. Logic and facts don’t work with them. They’re in it for the cruelty.

How about your spouse? How about your kids? Are you sure about that family tree?

I think anyone with illegal DNA should be expelled from the country. Hope you don't have any partially illegal loved ones!

"Logic and facts." Yep. Let's look at "logic and facts."

Reposting this from uptrhead:

No.
1. He has not spent more money on "border control." He has spent more money on processing and transporting migrants. Big difference.
2. Drones and electronic surveillance was in place well before Biden took office. He, in fact, is eliminating the blimps that surveil our border even though the "replacement technology" is not ready.
3. He has more drug recovery because there is a record amount of drugs coming over the border. More drugs = more to find. There is still a $hitload coming in. Right now, fentanyl poisoning is the number 1 cause of death for adults ages 18-45.
4. He has more human interdiction because there are a record number of people coming to interdict.
5. He has more deportations than Trump because, once again, there are a record number of people coming. However, he is letting more people INTO our country than he is deporting.
6. More money to Central America has not and will not solve this problem. We have people coming from over 140 countries.

You know what else he has "more of?"

Got-aways. Well over a million since he took office. People we know nothing about and have no idea what their motives or intentions are.
People on the terror watch list. Since his inauguration, over 133 people on the terror watch list have crossed. Compare that to a TOTAL of 11 under Trump.
Migrant deaths at the US border.https://www.npr.org/2022/09/29/1125638107/migrant-deaths-us-mexico-border-record-drownings

Anybody who even attempts to rationalize Biden's record regarding the southern border is just ignorant. Totally ignorant.

And, if you want to talk about cruelty, encouraging millions of migrants to pay the cartels to get them to the border while they are raped and assaulted along the way is the very definition of cruelty.

Democrats lie again.

"Next week, Judiciary Republicans will hold their second stunt hearing on border security.
Despite the importance of this issue, there was no consultation with Judiciary Democrats,
many of whom have already committed attending other bipartisan congressional delegation
trips."

LOL, you believe Jim Jordan.

Maybe he should be more focused on the environmental disaster in his District, which impacts his voters moire than anything having to do with the border.

WTH are you talking about?

The Democrats are flat out lying. This hearing was Feb.1 in which he announced the CODEL.
That is 3 weeks in advance of the trip.

What is a codel?
When was the clip of Jim Jordan recorded? I did google.
