Lmao..Japan does not have price controls on grocery store prices. Japan does not have price controls on what restaurants charge. You made the claim that we need illegal immigrants to prices down. That's a dubious claim, seeing as many other industrialized countries in the world have far less illegal immigration than the US and yet their grocery stores do not have bare shelves and they still have affordable restaurants. How about New Zealand? How about Australia? How about South Korea? How about Canada? The claim that we need illegal immigrants to keep prices low is dubious, given how many counter examples in the world with far lower illegal immigration blow up that narrative. |
And yet you're the same type to whine about affordable housing. Rising populations strain the environment,.housing costs, schools, and healthcare system. |
Why won't any Republicans support a work visa bill? |
I didn’t bake any such claims. This is a popular thread with lots of different posters. The only claim I’m making is that there are structural things happening in Japan, like negative interest rates and government price controls, that are affecting their economy which are impossible to put in place here. Just as impossible as half of the fanciful “removing birth citizenship” list above. Please be realistic and people can have a reasonable discussion. |
So tell me, how exactly does one transverse through multiple countries if all they're worried about is getting chopped up by a.machete? They could travel to Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica,.or even stay in Mexico of all they fear is safety. They come here because they want better economic opportunities, first and foremost. Show me where any sovereign country in the world is required to provide better economic opportunities to foreign nationals by law. We all know how the game works - leave your country because you elected terrible leaders and the economy is min the toilet. Walk over multiple countries on your way to the US, then use flimsy claims of asylum to game the system in order to allow you to stay almost indefinitely. What a farce. Who knew that when you claim asylum you can pick where you want to go like an ala carte line rather than being forced to stay in the country of first entry. |
What about? What about? What about? What about? Oh, look, we still have to follow the laws on the books. Only Congress can change the laws. It’s why we call them the legislative branch. |
I bet your butt is in the pew every Sunday morning, too. You pray to Jesus with that mouth? |
Biden isn't even doing that. Allowing millions of migrants into our country is part of his plan. We knew that from day 1 of his presidency when he rolled back all the actions that were working. |
You cannot refute pp's statement with any kind of valid argument, so you attack her with ad hominem attacks. PP is actually stating facts. I agree with everything written. |
While that may be true, the rest of the world does not have nearly the ceo to worker pay gap that you see in the US. |
The modern GOP, rooting for a shrinking GDP. I never thought I would see the day. |
Yes, he is following the law. There is an asylum process. If the GOP doesn't like it, it can try to repeal it. |
Hell no, F religion. All of them. |
The asylum process is clearly being gamed and used in ways not intended. It’s well past time for Congress to fix it. |
