24 Girls Recruiting

If you expected that you don’t know how this process works.

Rarely do girls commit on 9/1. Top coaches will express heavy interest to their top list but they don’t usually offer positions to girls without visiting with them (and their parents) on campus first. The visits are typically where the offers for the top girls are made. Most coaches will want their top prospects to come to campus ASAP (as in this weekend — Labor Day — so be prepared to scratch those beach plans if you get the call to your dream school). Look for the top players (midfielders mostly) to start making their decisions next week thru the end of the month.

With all the chatter on here, I thought the DC area girls were locked and loaded to commit to top 10 and Ivies this morning. C'mon, M&D Black already has one to UNC. I guess DCUM is all talk. Hopefully, the rest of the discussion on this will be grounded in reality.

Nepotism defined. That you failed to mention the connection to the UNC head coach (and misrepresent it as an accomplishment of M&D) makes us sad for you.

Question tho: M&D’s Insta post earlier today promoted the recruiting stats of the 22 class. You’d think they would promote the results of the most recent class — the 23s? Any insight there?

M&D is counting both the black and red teams, and M&D Orlando into those numbers. Now they have (LBC) M&D Shore, so that's 85-90 kids each grad year under the M&D umbrella.

Penn State was busy locking up a goalie and a middie yesterday, so the non-nepotism commits are happening.

Is the Goalie and middie related to someone on the program? Because my daughter said the goalie was not the better one for Phantastix

Harvard gives no athletic scholarships and, as I understand it, no pure merit. However, on the off chance that you are not just a troll, I'm happy for your kid.

Most likely a troll, but if not we should know who the lucky recipient of this full ride is when they post their commitment on IL and BoC. Every player wants to post this exciting news, so get it up there so we can all celebrate this accomplishment with you.

Nope. Just good recruiting director I think, as Phantastix has had a few girls commit, so they clearly did some pre 9/1 work for their kids.

None of the 23’s can really be officially ID’d By The school until after NLI so maybe that’s why? Coaches can’t tweet with names but they can tweet about pickups but no naming. BTDT

Has M&D committed any players (whose parents aren’t NCAA head coaches) to top 10 schools yet? Capital has

Another Capital Blue commit, this time to JMU.

Love the move JMU made to the AAC. UF, USF, Vandy and JMU are going to have some entertaining battles in that conference.

Virginia had 12 girls on campus for a recruiting weekend Saturday and Sunday. I would expect to see several local commits by mid-week.
