Ewwww. There was no chemistry. Season 2 was dreadful. Daphne and Simon were loads sexier and more fun. Kate and Anthony were just an awful combo. Even looked bad together.

+1 I said this before the season even started. Kate doesn’t match with Anthony at all. Horrible casting.

What are you people talking about? How should they “match?” They’re two hot young people. They look great together. I don’t find the romance compelling but it’s not because of how they look.

Anthony and Sienna had amazing chemistry. They matched.

Also I’m sorry if you can’t unsee this, but Kate looks like Bridget from An American Tail.

I just finished it and I have to say that my favorite thing is that they didn’t kill off the duke to explain his absence so we didn’t have to endure mourning scenes.

Overall I liked it? Not quite sexy enough and not a ton of chemistry but to me it was fun and binge-able.

Not that attracted to any of the Bridgerton brothers. Eloise actress has worst posture ever. First season actor who played duke was hot. So t care enough about remaining siblings. Poor casting job.

Eloise has bad posture? I mean, I think that’s a fundamental part of her character. It’s part of what makes her such a misfit and so funny.

I agree, and think they matched just fine.

I binge watched this weekend and enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the Indian influence on Kate's dresses...the colors, textures, jewelry. It makes me want to have some of my old saris remade into period dresses.

I also really liked the actresses who played Lady Danbury, Lady Bridgerton, and the Queen. Maybe because I just turned 50, but I notice more "mature" actresses now and I thought they each had a lot more to work with this season. That one scene with the Queen brought tears to my eyes, as did a few scenes with Lady Bridgerton and Anthony.

I totally agree! I love that they give special attention to the stories of older women, and all those jewel tones! 😍😍😍

What is there to get? Are you uncomfortable with non-white characters?

Nope. Simon was great. Adore Lady Danbury. Lots of great characters that are non traditional race/ethnicity/look. Think it’s actually a plus of the series. A nice modern twist. But adding in the whole India part of the story while not also addressing colonization and racists aspects, is just piss poor writing and ruined the story too. Plus Anthony is too small for Kate/Kate to big for Anthony. And they clearly were not attracted to each other - there was zero chemistry. This was a terrible casting decision and even worse story alteration.

Fiction mirroring reality it seems.

Question: why couldn’t Anthony and Kate get together from the beginning? If he liked her, why didn’t he pursue her? It wasn’t until later that her sister was appointed as the jewel of the season - forgetting the official title.
