Because someone is spending more than you, so it’s okay for you to use up that many resources, and annually? “We all have different perspectives, and that’s fine,” is weak and it’s the kind of crap pop psychology that has allowed antivax nonsense to spread covid far and wide, the kind of dingleberry nonsense that says overthrowing the government is a-okay, because the GOP just had a “different perspective” about who won the election? So you spend between $20,000 and $100,000 on clothing a year probably travel quite a bit too, since that jumped up as your next reason why your excesses aren’t excessive. Honestly, I’m not sure how some of you live with yourselves knowing that a billion people live on less than the equivalent of a dollar a day around the world. That the amount of plastics in the environment exceeds the total mass of all mammals on the earth. That girls are still sold into marriage because their parents can’t afford school. That children right here in the US don’t have safe drinking water or safe housing. I give my relative paltry hundreds to charity because it’s the right thing to do. But you’re defending just absolutely appalling excess because others spend more? No wonder the earth is dying.

And my childfree self is sitting here thinking about how damaging your kids are to the environment. It's alllll relative. We all pick our battles and draw our lines somewhere.

I'm not trying to get any profits when I'm shopping. I want to get my satisfaction and pleasure. and i m not thinking in that moment about the profits.
