Van Lifer couple camping in Utah national park - two weeks later fiancee arrives in FL alone

Actually after reading that I believe there’s a chance he didn’t do it (though I think he most likely did.) it sounds extremely volatile and I wouldn’t be shocked if there was a breakup/I’ll kill myself if you you leave me dynamic which could possibly explain his reticence. Still, he most likely did it

Is that short word they blocked out long enough to be ‘depression’? Maybe mania?

ANXIETY!

Twitter is guessing "bipolar," which makes sense given the incident.

It’s “anxiety”. Look at the descending “y” in the blacked out areas.

But it’s bipolar disorder or depression. Not just the one modifier.

I think the word is anxiety but later he references a manic state. Clearly these are laypeople though so who knows what the true issue is. In any case if she is found at the bottom of some crevice it will be very difficult to prove he murdered her (rather than death by suicide.)

This is a report written by a cop who is dictating verbatim discussions with the couple (who admit that they are not medicated).

It's not going to be a medically-correct diagnosis or terminology.

I don't know. Reading that doesn't mean anything to me. The point I keep on coming back to is why didn't he report anything, even the fact that she's missing? How does he take her van (if it is her van) and go back to FL? If she went away on her own somewhere, why not say that and why take her van back? Something just isn't adding up.

Yep, that is what I am guessing too. Bipolar makes people do things when it is in the manic stages. I am always afraid that my friend with a less intense bipolar is going to be killed by her severely bipolar boyfriend.

Reading that to me means there’s a good chance she has borderline personality disorder. I agree it’s very important to know who the van belonged to.

Anxiety is my vote. The last letter goes down the way a Y does

Leave a trail all the way back across the country. Maybe even tell one of her friends (on her phone) she was breaking up because she met a new guy with more money/bigger penis/better van/whatever and was planning to meet him at a spot on the way back.

Then he ditches the phone at that spot and trail goes cold. Still lots of potential pitfalls with this plan, too, but it’s better than what he’s got right now.

Woulda made more sense to just keep her phone drive away from her in the desert. She’d be dead from heat exposure within a few hours. Then he could say they had a fight and she stormed off in a huff.
Can we maybe NOT plan out how to murder women? That’s just creepy.

If you can’t handle hypothetical discussions of true crime, then this isn’t the thread for you. That’s your problem, not ours.
