I was on Bethesda Row tonight at 9:45 and there were so many people out. Still can't believe that nobody knew this was happening.

Do you know if the attack was occurring at times in the front part of the store? If so, could people have seen inside and noticed something?

It seems like BN had a touch of psychosis, based on what her college friends had to say. They said that she could just go nutty very quickly. They were afraid of her, but at the same time they said she was fun to be around. Too bad for JM, if BN had had a check up from the neck up and a little pill, thus might have been avoided.

I wish more info would come out about this. I am starting to miss the conversation. All of the stores in Bethesda have a white bow on their doors in memory of Jayna.
I was told that Bethesda Lululemon will most likely not reopen in that location. They will probably find another location in the neighborhood. I am assuming that the karma left in that space completely contradicts everything they are about. It will be interesting to see what happens.

It is natural to wish that there is an explanation for her crime. The sad but uncomfortable truth is that she just may be a bad person, with no disease or psychosis or history of abuse.

Don't know but I am thinking that they are going to find out that she has murdered before. Now that they have her DNA they could potentially link her with other murders in places that she has lived before. Anyone that could murder someone the way she murdered Jayna seems extremely comfortable with the act of murder. So it stands to reason that she has potentially done this before but successfully covered it up. She was a little thing that NO one would have ever suspected of such a hanis crime!

I don't think BN is smart enough to have gotten away with any murders before this one. and it's heinous.

Will that permanently affect the value of that property?

I think hanis also defines it. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hanis

I doubt it. Look at Starbucks in Georgetown. It is still open after that horrible murder and it is booming. I would imagine that someone would be extremely happy to get the location right next to the Apple Store because it is gauranteed foot traffic for them. I think that Lululemon should rethink their position. They could do a ceremony to get the bad Karma and evil spirits out of there and go onto being very successful there and NEVER have any problem as a result of what happened.

I have not gotten the impression that she was "comfortable with the act of murder." I've gotten the impression that, as absurd as it seems to us, Norwood felt cornered and murdered out of fear (that she'd been caught), and that she felt that, unlike past occasions when she may have stolen, there were going to be unavoidable and unpleasant consequences. I suspect that she lashed out in anger, and not necessarily that she murdered because she is "comfortable with the act of murder."

Her attempts at covering up this crime were not particularly successful. Yes, it took police almost a week to arrest Norwood, but this is not because her "story" about the two masked and gloved male intruders was ever a convincing one.

It is one thing to murder someone out of fear of the consequences. It is a whole other thing to murder her in the manner in which she did! Maybe you haven't read all that she did to Jayna!

She's got real lawyers now, like top criminal defense kind of lawyers.

Interesting.....did you see an article about that? I wonder where she got the money! If her parents are paying for it, this is where I lose my respect for them! I can't imagine that anyone would put the money up for someone that could murder like that to get out of jail! (even if it is your kid!)

There is an article in the Bethesda Patch confirming she has hired top defense attorneys.
