What’s the point?

As I suspected. Too dumb to even realize how far behind America has fallen.

This is directed at all races, if the US isn’t good enough for you, why are you even here? You could move somewhere else, somewhere better esp if you you have so many great qualities to offer.

And interestingly, the US has only ‘fallen’ since we began accepting people from every village in the world, that’s precisely when we began to lag behind the rest.

Since the beginning of the nation?

DP. I don't think there is a causation there, but it's true that immigration has skyrocketed over the past few decades.

What is the cause of the decline in quality US education? I am so curious. It correlates with increased immigration during the later 20th century, no?

It’s caused by the affirmative action, watering down the quality of everything so that the more “preferred race” can be selected.

Try again. The largest shift in demographics due to AA was the significant increase in enrollment for women. URMs are still...underrepresented.

"underrepresented"? that's a liberal/fascist word, not a human language

No, it's a numbers thing. URMs are not watering down the quality of anything because they aren't there.

Kids were dumbed down to accommodate more and more URMs. How hard is it to understand? Are you saying URM numbers were down since the affirmative action?

Mentally, if I see an African American going to let's say Harvard, I would think, good for them, but they got an easy way in without knowing anything about their GPA and other accomplishments. This is my unconscious bias.

Hopefully, now the African Americans who DO make it to Harvard or other so called elite institution will face "less discrimination" for their intellectual abilities.

Too bad for the minorities that don't make the cut. Hopefully, now they know it's not as easy and they have to go work much harder to get a seat in a top university just like Asians. I wish there are more programs funded at the grass root level to educate and provide better opportunities for minorities at grade school level so they can compete fairly, without taking race into account with other hardworking Asians and whites

The African Americans who were at these schools were not dummies to begin with. The Asians at these schools were also *beneficiaries of affirmative action*regardless of their notable credentials , the fact that it escapes you isn't surprising given your anti-black bigotry . I noticed that you never bothered to once question the credentials of white kids who are the largest beneficiaries of a non-academic credential known as legacy. You instead lump all them up under the one category: hard working whites.

The boogeyman is gone, the rug has been swept under the feet of bigots like you and the upcoming reality won't be remarkably better.

That's funny that you think that Asians are not going to be discriminated against now. Discrimination against minorities is legal again in 'merica.

Are we minorities now? I thought we were just high achieving whipping boys for everybody, so everyone can shit on us but tout our individual achievements as the achievements of the institution! Not "minorities" needing special consideration and not white to have all the benefits of this society? Ok. Great. so honored to be in your company at last.

Then lets all get discriminated against together. URM, ORM, women, poor, LGBTQ, non-Christians, handicapped, immigrants, EH-One-Bee worker. welcome to our hell!!

Maybe the civil rights leaders should have only focused on what would be best for African Americans and Native Americans. Forget immigrants, including those from Africa.

Didn't know Asians started to immigrate to the US because of MLK. I know you guys are bad at math and science and didn't know you're so bad at history too. So what are you good at?

Black person here to say eff you:

“The Civil Rights Movement that culminated in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 ushered in a new age when we could envision the color of one’s skin may be neither an advantage nor a disadvantage. It also led to the overhaul of our immigration system, dismantling the preferences favoring those from the Western hemisphere by offering equal opportunity to everyone to immigrate to the United States without discrimination based on one’s national origin under the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.”

-On remembering the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King

And Asian Indian person to say eff you to the black person who says eff you:

Have you not heard of the decolonization movement in india and Asia in the 1940s and 1950s that precended the US Civil Rights movement in the 1960s? Do you think the black Civil rights movement in the 1960s would have been successful without the decolonization moments in india that happened in the first half of the 20th century? So before you throw stones ar Asians perhaps you should look at your own history more carefully.

Not everything revolves around India as much as you would like to believe it.
Your presence in the US owes much to MLK and Black Americans unending fight for justice. Be grateful!

And MLK would not be who he is without the non-violent movement that was championed by Gandhi. So there.

Proof that acing a SAT test doesn't make you a well adjusted and cultured person. I don't know if you've noticed but there's a federal holiday here for MLK not Ghandi whom a growing a number of Indians can't even stand anymore.

Hey, are you the village idiot or just a product of the American anti-meritocracy education system? There is no one named Ghandi that Indians know of. There is a restaurant called Handi in NoVa, though. I think you should try their food. Eating some turmeric may help your brain fog though it cannot cure congenital idiocy.

Women still don't like you.So what's your point . *Ghandi* is not an American historical figure, who gives a sh!t what anyone in india( a country Indians themselves don't give a f about or else they wouldn't immigrate here) think or know about .I'm guessing you're still living in the land of anti-meriticracy , weird.

You don't need GPAs or SAT scores to know some people are several standard deviations down.

Yes and interestingly it has been show that those "tests" have a racial bias and also hurt the lower income students (no matter what race they are). So schools have chosen to use other/better methods for determining admission. Nothing new there. Been moving towards that for 1-2 decades for some schools.

Tests are far better for intelligent, poor students than any of the "holistic" methods which are much more strictly wealth-gated. Smart poor kids have a much smaller shot at making a non-profit, interning at a top company, winning a top science fair competition or, or having a great essay ghostwritten for them.

If I was the rich parent of a kid with mediocre smarts/work ethic, I'd much rather prefer a test-optional admissions process than one which looks at test scores.
