Truly comical to watch these Fairfax teams lose their minds over the fact that a Prince William County school is as good as them. So much so that they have to continuously put kids down |
The way I see it Oakton > Madison > Robinson >= Full Strength Centreville >= Battlefield. |
I am not a Class 6 family, so no stake in the rankings game here. It seems like LaxNumbers heavily weights goal differential when calculating their rankings. I’d dial this weighting back because some teams will run the score up more than others. Even though both teams are equally capable. Where do you draw the line on what is sportsmanship and not. This said, if you are not ranked #1 you can play from the position of underdog. How will #1 handle being the hunted. How many #1 seeds lost early in March Madness this year? Rankings don’t mean much. Results do. |

Those rankings mean squat, anyone who knows lax already understands it. Its sort of like the us club rankings.
My thoughts are: 1- Oakton 2- Tied Robinson/Battlefield (despite everyone keeps bashing Bfield, they can still play and have a good team) 3- Madison 4- Cville (pending on how their injuries shake out) 5- Langley 6- West Springfield (they are my sleeper team) 7- South Lakes (they are going to upset someone come regional time) 8- Woodson Thats really all i know |
A team can only play the opponents on their schedule. Everyone disparaged Oakton’s undefeated season after they knocked off Langley, Yorktown, and Woodson as having not beaten anyone tough. Some still do so at 11-0 with wins over SSSA and Madison. The fact is that Battlefield is a legitimate contender and presently on par with Fairfax County teams. Their easy path in the playoffs is not ideal, but they have beaten enough Fairfax teams in the regular season to prove their worth this year, and the Fairfax champ should not take them lightly. |
I agree with this 100%. I think the Robinson Battlefield match up is 50/50 on any given day But Oakton is the only undefeated team, and has beaten top teams. They should be number 1 Centreville was healthy in the first half, and the game was not going in a +6 for them. Again, I think Centreville and Battlefield are another 50/50 match up Madison is only that low because they lost two straight. However, the second one was a dagger for them After that, it is a toss up between a ton of different teams |
I am a Fairfax parent, and I think it would be good for the game to have a team outside Fairfax/Arlington win states this year. Should be interesting to see what happens |
West Potomac is really good right outside the Top 4 or 5 and somewhere in the Top 10. They have talent & depth. Should be some great games when they wrap up district play against West Springfield and Woodson. |
Agree. Finally some people with logic. Oakton deserves to be on top right now |
Be careful. I wrote that, and I’ma Battlefield parent. Of the Fairfax parents catch wind of this, they may vote you off their island 🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Lots of love ❤️ between Oakton and Battlefield right now 😂 |
Madison already beat Robinson so they are ahead of them with or without lax #s. Robinson is now without their best Draw middie. Centreville was not at full strength in the Battlefield game and only got worse in the 2nd half. Langley should not be at 5, the teams below them are all better. |
Ha! Too funny. Well then let them vote me off. Battlefield is a great team and I disagree with a lot of the bashing these people get on here and do towards them. Good luck the rest of this season! |
A match made for the 6A state finals.... ![]() |
