We won’t have the benefit of seeing their relationship progress (just as we haven’t with Kate and Phillip) but we’ll just be expected to understand that Kevin got his happily ever after, too.

I'm really annoyed at the regression in his story arc with series of women in the flashes forward. Seems to go against the character development he had when he flew with the twins back to Pittsburgh. What up with that?

Isn't this the story of Kevin's life? One step forward, two steps back?

I feel like the regression is because he came back from Philly with this idea of being with Madison and it seems like there's no chance so he's deliberately dating women he's never going to be serious about.

I realize I am an unrealistic Kevin/Madison shipper and that it seems impossible they are together in the end. But I still think it's them.

Same!!!

Madison is married and pregnant. She's going to get divorced, kid in tow, and marry Kevin?

Not going to happen.

And the Whitney Houston song in the elevator was funny. Otherwise, yeah, pretty bad.

Funny but such an obvious plant.

I am the minority but I really liked this episode. And I ALWAYS hated Toby. (Not Kate). But I thought it did a very good of showing two people can love each other and not end up together in the end. I liked Jack’s comment in the bar. I thought it showed how much he liked when his parents were together.

I think you all are being very, very harsh to what was a very good hour of television.

And, I like Kate and Philip. Much more than I ever liked Kate and and Toby.

This episode was pretty awful and the season in general hasn't been great... I used to like Kate but actively dislike her now.

Now we know that Madison is out of the running so it must be Sophie. Unless Philip has a sister, she is the only one of the women at the engagement party who Kate would include in her second wedding. She doesn’t have to cheat on her husband; she could just break up with him before getting back with Kevin.

Was it for sure a bridesmaid dress? If so, this is even more stupid. He randomly hooks up with someone knows about, but all of her toiletries, and her bridesmaid’s dress are in Kevin’s room, and no one has noticed a missing bridesmaid when Kate and the rest of them are all fully dressed with hair and makeup done? Anyone who’s even gotten married or been in a wedding knows that shit takes HOURS. If it’s Sophie (which is possible since Kevin made a point of saying he was glad she and Kate were so close again at the engagement party), then they would all be wondering where the hell she’s been all morning, and that would be the first thing out of their mouth when they saw a bra in his room.

This is shaping up to be as dumb a reveal as the whole Kate/Philip storyline.

Beth and Madison are wearing bridesmaids dresses. So Kevin slept with someone The Night Before the Wedding which also happens to be the name of the episode in two weeks. So that may be when we find out who Kevin is going to marry.

I just caught up on the last three episodes. Couple random thoughts…

- with all the talk about the flash forward deathbed scene(s) I figured they’d revisited it. I can’t believe how much analysis some of the people on this board have done for a couple episodes way back when.
- I’m surprised no one mentioned how chubby jack was in the Phillip proposal scene. Toby’s worst fear came true and his kid got fat, but he outgrew it or got it under control because he’s fit in the later years.

I thought I had another observation but can’t remember it now.

^^pp again, I remember! The memory boxes. Why were people convinced Kate’s was empty? It wasn’t as overflowing but we couldn’t see what was in it! My guess is there is plenty of special stuff, maybe more so than the others, and it will be revealed soon enough.

Okay, so there are at least three of us!

Watching the episode with the party at Kate’s and totally agree how unpleasant and unlikeable she’s become. The writer must be up to something bc no way are we suppose to think Toby is the bad guy in the situation.

In next week’s preview of the family wedding picture…why is Madison and Elijah in the picture? And shouldn’t Kevin’s kids be standing with him? I assume Rebecca didn’t want Miguel next to her and that is why Kevin is next to her. But his kids could still be with him. The whole picture looks weird.

Also, Kate’s kids and Toby are NOT in the picture!

Kate’s kids should be in the picture but Toby?

She definitely has a cold, critical side to her. We saw it when she would be mean to Rebecca growing up, to Madison at the support group, and how she was determined to criticize Toby’s parenting skills especially when putting “her daughter” to bed. Philip seems to want to please her in every way. Seems like a one-sided relationship to me.

I think the fat Jack kid was miscast. He didn’t look like the younger or older Jacks.

I am finding nothing about Kate to like anymore. Which for me makes the relationship with Philip strange because what exactly does he like about her?

Maybe he has a savior complex.
