Oh, please.

Oh please, what. The Federalist Society has teed this up for SCOTUS to hear this in the current term, the decision will be released next summer. With Barrett on board, it will be 5-4 or 6-3 for the applicant to prevail.

But with Kav and Barrett, the SCOTUS is just another partisan group. Democratic controlled congress will be in constant conflict with the once august SCOTUS. Sad. And all because a bunch of yahoos decided it would be fun to have a TV reality star as POTUS.

You are truly unhinged. Kavanaugh has proven to be a fair and thoughtful justice, just as soon-to-be Justice Barrett will. It’s clear you thrive on drama and stirring the pot, but anyone with even a modicum of common sense knows you’re simply angry and bitter. Get over yourself. The SCOTUS will always be an august institution.

I am not the PP you are replying to, but neither Kavanaugh nor Barrett have the jurist intellect of most of their predecessors. They are both political hacks funded by the Federalist Society, who are fulfilling the Koch's dream of a white nationalist christian oligarchy for the United States. And not even Christian...the pope is ostensibly against some of the beliefs of Judge Barrett, this is fringe philosophy.

I don’t think you’re a baby killer - I’m also pro-choice. The point is that the apocalyptic portrait of a future America you seem to get off on portraying is never going to happen. Abortion will remain safe and legal for those who choose to have one. And I stand by my previous statement: people are voting against Democrats for many reasons, one of which is this constant melodrama and hyperbole you all seem to thrive on. It’s repulsive, alarmist, and unnecessary.

Abortion will absolutely be curtailed in many red states where the GOP and extreme right wing money, combined with fringe Evangelical beliefs prevail.

If that's not possible, they should make the Supreme Court 1000000 justices. all Democrats except for 6 because that's where our democracy is headed.

Please show us where it states the bolded in the Constitution, or anywhere else. You do realize justices have been appointed in the last year of a President’s term before, right? So we’ll wait while you back up your ludicrous claim.

Merrick Fcking Garland.

Not at all what we’re talking about. The PP stated: Everyone knows you cannot appoint a justice in the last year of a President's term. So point to the law that backs this up.

Oh brother. The PP was clearly being sarcastic.

+1 bizarre that so many PPs cannot read the oozing sarcasm

Roe is settled law. Even if Judge Coney Barrett disagrees with the constitutional foundation for the decision, she and her fellow conservative justices are bound by long-standing precedent.

Of course they do. That you hate them because they are conservatives is an entirely different matter. There is no disputing their excellent credentials.

Yep. But the fear-mongering among Democrats is truly something to behold.

There actually is disputing their credentials, which seem.... inflated, shall we say. They are bought and paid for. They’re hacks. Just warm butts with the appropriate levels of personal compromise to guarantee they’ll vote as their paymasters want them to vote. Who owns them? No one precisely knows.

FFS. What suggests to you that these people respect anything but their own immoral desires?

So, you know, it’s probably not just about guns and controlling women’s bodies, it’s also probably about oil. Because they so often go together...
