Nothing compared to the pro-MM ones, that just hang out in this thread endlessly arguing and freaking out on anyone who has a slightly negative thing to say about Meghan. And then getting defensive and angry when anyone points out how dysfunctional they are. Just a sad existence, tbh

Um...no, lol. Assuming you are the poster currently ranting and raving about how "poor" someone is for liking Meghan Markle, you are equally dysfunctional.

Um... yes, lol. And if you're the one ranting and raving about classism on damn British royals thread of all places you seem utterly delusional

It is, and so are her fashions. She is terrible at quiet luxury, and her clothes don’t suit her boxy upper body.

Another weird personal attack.

Many, many comments here bemoan the (terrible) show and wish Meghan put out a fashion line based on her own styling. If you actually understand fashion and say not so fast, that’s personal, but if you gag repeatedly over her (terribly unflattering) style, that’s somehow not a weird parasocial rim job over the internet?

Cringe.

It’s even cringier because Sussex isn’t even their last name. Their last name is “Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Is it also cringe when they call the William and Kate family “Cambridge” or “Wales?”

The cringe factor is the demand to be called Sussex.

Agree. If she hates being a royal so much, she should stop using her Duchess title and go back to the name Markle, which made her semi famous. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.

Didn't she say she wanted to have the last name as her children? Is that so bad?

She said it in a baby voice and it was very off- putting and strange. If people want to change their name, fine. I personally didn't but it's a normal thing to do. What's not normal is giving your supposed friend (or email penpal, whatever) a dressing down for calling you by your maiden name. So weird!

And apparently it is not her legal name. She just wanted that moment so she could do the "Duchess of Sussex" thing.

It’s really not anyone’s name. Harry’s last name is Mountbatten-Windsor, but ONLY direct descendants of the queen/king can use that last name, meaning not Meghan since she married in. So maybe to get even she’s going to pretend Sussex is her last name, which is fairly bizarre considering it’s a principality she has her duchess-ship over, not an actual surname. Very strange

It’s not that strange if you know anything about the royal family. They usually use their title as their surname. Harry and William both used “Wales” as their last name in the military; Will’s kids were “Cambridge” until Will and Kate became Prince and Princess of Wales.

I know plenty about the royal family, and you might find this video educational, since you seem fairly clueless
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cixbj3WARJI

That's not educational, that's just a video with a woman b itching about Meghan. That says nothing about the concept of royals using their titles as surnames, which, btw, you didn't even acknowledge.

You must not have watched it, she didnt spend almost any time "bit ching" (classy use of language- are you from a lower socioeconomic background?) about Meghan, she was literally explaining the intricacies of royal names across various countries. But then you seem highly uneducated and classless, so not a surprise you cant follow a 10 minute video.

Lol. No, I can follow a ten minute video. I just don't want to when it's the royal family version of a Megyn Kelly or Candace Owens podcast. I'm not gonna listen to someone yell about something inconsequential for 10 minutes.

Considering youre squatting on this thread arguing with everyone about it, you obviously find the issue of her surname fairly consequential. Just say you have no attention span and have brain rot and go.

Nope! I can post here just as you can.

Curious that you accuse me of having no attention span and brain rot and yet your response to my written debate point was a YouTube video followed by "Are you poor" lmfao.

Sure you can, but if you have enough time and energy to argue vociferously on here without actually bothering to educate yourself on the issue, and admittedly dont have the attention span to watch a 10 minute youtube video, then people have every right to make fun of you. And "are you poor" or "did you grow up poor" is a valid question given how atrociously you speak, lmao

Just chiming in here but a) assuming that all poor people speak atrociously is kind of classist of you but okay and b) I don't see anything wrong with that post grammatically. Cursing, sure, but spelling/syntax are correct.

And that's okay that it's classist, lol. Especially since this is a discussion about members of the royal family- I mean classism is kind of woven in, lmao. Get over it. And yeah, spelling and syntax are correct- but I've never seen anyone who didn't grow up poor throwing around terms like "bit ching". It's a very obvious tell.

You're saying only poor people curse?

Poor people and rich people curse very differently. And sure, poor people curse more as well, but there's just class differences in language across the board.

Don't worry about it though, it's probably nothing you can change anyway.

Why are you so triggered that people have sussed out your economic background? Is that an issue? People are able to make observations- did you think you were coming off a different way or something?

I'm not the poster you were arguing with! I just think you're weirdly personal about Meghan and anyone in support of her. Hope this helps!

And I think you're taking this weirdly personally and getting wayyyyyyyy too upset about simple class observations! I wonder why! Hope that helps!

Ohhhh, I get it now.

I have no horse in this race but you're clearly upset Meghan Markle has "nice" things that you think you deserve or lay claim to in some way. The show is garbo but there's no other explanation for you turning this into a 101-level socioeconomics course paper instead of just discussing the show.

The beige thing goes way back to her influence by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, who died in a plane crash with JFk Jr in 1998. She has never had the body of CBK and is clearly using Ozempic, which won’t fix it. She also never had the connections nor taste to wear Comme des Carcons. There’s no style or taste in Meghan’s fashion, never has been. Draping that Jenni Kayne sweater over her shoulders to “cook” and be a busy busy big B to Mindy Kaling was mos def a lewk but not a good one.

Why would you think she is using Ozempic? She has always been thin and her face has always been perfect. She may tick people off but saying she is taking Ozempic is silly. I have always loved her style and work ethic.

They think she is using ozempic because they have nothing to throw at her in regards of weight. These are the same people who accuse her of being too skinny ("chicken legs") and fat ("gut") simultaneously.

Bwahahaha. So it's personal to say that a poster obviously grew up with lower socio economic status but you, the psychic, can somehow intuit that I'm "bitter" that she has a house in Montecito? Wow. Have you considered going into a professional mediumship career with your incredibly powers of deduction and fantasy?

But you'reeeeee not projecting, everyone else is. More brilliant thinking from a highly educated, socially skilled savant.

She hasn’t always been thin, sorry, and she’s had a fair amount of surgery - which was at first gorgeous work, but she’s getting a little El Greco in the face from weight loss that isn’t natural to her. I do think she’d look even better with a less harsh brow and shorter hair styling, it’d still be long, but it’s pretty Cousin It in some of her scenes.

Her mom has aged like a goddess and Meghan isn’t. She should’ve left herself alone!

These are such weird personal attacks. "Uneducated" and "classless" over a discussion of a reality show?

I mean there's no other explanation. You have turned the last two or three pages of this thread into weirdly personal attacks against posters for being "poor," "uneducated," etc. It's really weird to go from discussing the show to accusing random internet posters of being poor.

And it's not weird to project some kind of drawn out, utterly fictional fantasy on a poster because she clocked you (or someone else you agree with) for sounding like a brokey and talking like someone who lives in a trailer park? Tell me more about these special rules that apply to everyone else except yourself.

Maybe because I spend time on TikTok and gen Zs are always making fun of millennial beige and the kind of twee “bundles of flowers in mason jars” look that was big in the 2010s. But I just kept thinking the whole thing was such a blast from the past- from the overly curated, instagram perfect styling to the empty platitudes about “we all can come together with love” or “wine night!”… it really seemed like something straight out of 2016. As a fellow millennial close in age to Meghan it was actually kind of depressing

The beige thing goes way back to her influence by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, who died in a plane crash with JFk Jr in 1998. Bessette Kennedy was known for wearing Calvin Klein inspired outfits in beige and black Her style was very influential . There are photos of Meghan doing exact copies of the outfits.

She has literally always been thin, except for her pregnancy. Where are you getting this?

Not that poster, but what are YOU talking about? Meghan was pretty much normal sized up until a few years before she got Suits. She literally admitted to formerly "binge eating bread" when she would get depressed.
