Translation: I’m a private school parent whose kids are targeting second tier private colleges because they’ll never get into a top 20, and I don’t like the new rankings. |
Couldn't have said it better myself. |

Quite a chip you've got on your shoulder there. |
Yeah, sometimes people forget that when kid chooses a school, they have not also applied to every other school "above" it on the list. |
Wrong, but a nice try. Personally, I have a child in a public school where they have been boosted by a new methodology. However, I don't think this new methodology is a fair measure of the academic strength and quality of each school anymore. If you use these as your acceptance guide, you will become confused. |
It’s pretty sad for sure. Mostly that you think the old ratings were a fair measure if academic strength and quality of school. They changed all these factors and the top 25 schools are basically the same. Quite the revolutionary change there. |

No, the private school parents complaining about the new rankings do. |
Name the school. |
Holy grade inflation 😳 I just looked at the Trinity School link…NO students got a C??! |
This thread is way past its prime and just keeps degenerating. Use the ranking if you like. Or don’t. |
