Sounds like SLACs have prepared you well for life. |
+1 it's easy for rich kids to go to rich schools then get high paying jobs. Much harder for kids from not rich and/or well connected families to move up in SES. The state flagships are doing a great job of educating people who cannot afford the expensive colleges and moving them up in SES. This is a better reflection what colleges should be doing today. |
U of Miami and Tulane tanked. |
William and Mary sunk - not surprising. |
Wow. It looks like business at UVA fell out of the top ten. |
YES IT IS. Look again. |
I found that if I reloaded the page on my browser, the 2024 rankings loaded. Though it looks a little glitchy tonight. |
Second year on the national list, JMU moves up to 124. I know, it's not the top 20 we're all obsessed over. But I always thought that school should get more credit. Elon moved closer to where it should be and no longer in the top 100. |
UN finally overtook UVA. It was just a matter of time. Next year UF will probably equal/pass UVA as well |
UNC that is. |
I saw that - good for JMU! It has served my family very well. |
Don’t know about that but it rose from 25 to 24 for undergrad and WSJ named it top public for finance this summer. Good enuf for me! |
The publics get a big boost. Not fair imo, as they are expensive for low income students as fin aid is poor. |
If this is 2024 ranking, then it was a lot of noise about nothing. The majority of top colleges did not change much: up or down a few notches. Big whoopee. |
