Proving that shop lifting is not a victimless crime and that it’s not just the big corporations that are impacted by shop lifting.

The Giant in Bethesda now limits the number of teens allowed in the store during the day, for similar reasons.

The Post wrote a pretty good article about this. Giant management was completely unapologetic and said they are considering other security measures to prevent thievery. Options discussed were a complete online model or placing everything behind glass (basically present your list to clerk, they retrieve the items, once payment is received you are given your groceries).
