What happens if FCPs isn't staffed by the first day of school?
https://careers.fcps.edu/vl/vacancy.htm So many |
| You get giant class sizes! Wheeeee |
| They continue to put less and less qualified people into classroom positions, or they force other positions (like ESOL, etc.) into the classrooms, which leads to resentment, them resigning in-turn, and more vacancies. |
| FCPS will systematically approach the panhandlers at each intersection and offer them teaching gigs. Easy peasy! |
LOL |
Bingo....or give impossible SPED caseloads with little support and wonder why they can't staff SPED! |
As a previous poster said .....Wheeeee! FCPS is a blast. |
And yet it has less vacancies than elsewhere. |
This really isn't that many--actually surprisingly few given the size of the district. I wonder if there are more vacancies than are on this list. |
Fewer |
There definitely are more than listed. Some schools have multiple positions open and only one listing. |
+1 |
FIFY |
Thanks, Stannis. |

It is not a matter of "if". It is when it isn't staffed. There'll be lots of long term subs or revolving door of day to day subs. Classes will be consolidated. Some classes will be canceled and kids will have to change high school schedules. Teachers will have to work during their prep periods, which will exhaust them, more will leave and the cycle will continue.
