And they are the first to complain if you propose taking that away. Also, they support giving amnesty to the same people. They propose for kids who came here illegally, and their parents, and more. |
Well said. |
Still no links? You said Democrats were blocking E-Verify, so where are the links? |
“Well said”? I bet you believed in the GOP lie about welfare queens, too. |
When you say things like that we all can see that you you know nothing about the actual benefits and social supports that immigrants receive. It’s all some image in your own mind. |

Chuck Schumer has notoriously fought against E-verify over the years. |
I never said immigrants receive benefits. I did say their kids born in the US and who are American citizens, receive benefits. |
Notoriously no links provided. |
A few of your fellow bigots in this thread have said so though. |

And undocumented people pay all the same local taxes as everyone else. Sales taxes, excise taxes, property taxes (directly or indirectly through rent), personal property taxes, etc., and they spend most of their income in the local economy. Why would they be excluded from local public schools? |
^^^^^^^ This is the truth that the OP and GOP will refuse to understand or acknowlege. This administration has addressed one part of the immigration crisis, but it will take bi-partisan legislation to get the rest of it solved. We need eVerify, we need more administrators to adjudicate asylum seekers, we need more technology at the border and we need a foreign policy that helps address the core issues that drive people away from their home countries, including climate change, which will force millions to move to more accommodating areas. |
Most undocumented workers are adults who work in the US and send money home to family. They leave their kids with family. In order to get benefits, they need a social security number. You cannot get benefits without one. If they are here illegally, why do you think they want to interact with government officials?! So silly. I grew up in Arizona and have witnessed this for decades. As for drywall and other trade salaries, there is one major factor. The largest generation in US history, the baby boomers, drove down their own salaries through the law of supply and demand. Additionally, globalization offshored many manufacturing jobs which then drove more into the trades. However, these days the boomers are entering retirement and the US is reshoring so there are more jobs than people. Our immigration system is broken. We need a working system, which will fix the undocumented worker problems. It will also be to our advantage as a nation, despite the garbage the GOP is feeding Americans. |
