The Catholic kids couldn't avoid them, that is where they had to be to get their bus.
They stood on the steps and took all kinds of nasty verbal insults from the adult Black Hebrew Israelites.

A couple of kids got tired of turning the other cheek and started trash talking back.
Then the kids started school cheers to drown out the stream of BHI "white-devil", "fag%(%" insults.

And then Phillips decides that, instead of walking on the clear path of stairs, he should march straight through the kids who are standing there.

Anyone wearing a MAGA hat at this point is a steaming pile of sh*t. As are the people who defend them. Next...

Isn’t assuming that “anybody (insert bigotry) is bad” the functional definition of “prejudice”: pre-judging people based on their religion, their skin color, a hat?

Oh my God this is so sad I don't know where to begin. If you showed up at a playdate in a starched white hood, would I be wrong to judge you?

The people with the starched white hoods defined themselves as racists.

You are defining what someone in a red MAGA hat is.

Do you see the difference?

If it walks like a duck...

Agreed.

So you all know that each of these 100 boys is a radical right wing teenager??? You know their backgrounds, their thoughts, their political and ideological beliefs??? No. You don’t and neither do I and no one posting on this thread does. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This entire thread is disgusting and disgraceful and I am appalled at so many ignorant posters so eager and happy to judge. Seventy plus pages of it. Unbelievable.

If you are wearing a MAGA hat, I know everything I need to know about you.

The very definition of a bigot. Presuming something about somebody because of a candidate they support.
I hope you wear a sign or something to warn others of your bigotry and intolerance.

No. But if you think there are fine people on both sides, neither do you.

Really? Then why are they all wearing MAGA hats?
I think we all know A LOT about anyone who appears in public in one of those hats.

MAGA hats =They support Trump, who doesn't respect women, or people of color, and rips illegal immigrant children from their parents with no plan to reunite them.

And a bunch of them apparently wore the hats in the new African American history museum. Is the first PP really saying they didn't know how that would be received? Little assholes.

It's a hat. A piece of clothing. And, these kids still have a 1st amendment right to wear the hat (at least for now, but I am betting many of you would like to see that right diminished). They have that right to wear it where they want.
And, I don't see how wearing a MAGA hat in the African American history museum would be a problem.

I didn't say that they could not. I am saying it was provocative to do so. And if you don't see why that is, you're part of the problem.

I don't see why it is.
Just like I didn't see why a couple of girls walking on the campus of Howard wearing MAGA hats should be harassed and the hats taken.
Are you saying that POC aren't tolerant? Are you saying that POC just look at the color of one's skin and not the content of one's character?

You have to be extremely dense not to know that Trump, who has a very low approval rating and a very high dissaproval rating, who is constantly spouting nasty rhetoric and calling people childish names, is a deeply divisive figure. Or else you’re just a troll which is the simpler and therefore more likely alternative.

Conservatives on this board are constantly talking about owning the libs. Like Trump they love the idea of making liberals upset and wearing MAGA gear is part of that, especially in a strongly Democratic town. Wearing such gear is always going to be interpreted as a provocation to DC residents.

And given how Trump’s war on immigrants, refugees, and the social safety net goes completely against the grain of Catholic social teaching (never mind his philandering and three marriages or his general meannnes which is completely anti-Christian behavior) it’s really hard to believe a true Catholic school would allow its students to deck themselves out in Trump gear when going to a rally for the sanctity of human life.

Can't wait for the discovery that will be public. We may uncover some more pedophilia while we're at it. They do have an accused rapist who went there that they protected. This school is rearing winners at every turn.

Proof?

What racist slime would that be? The hate group called Black Israelites? Or the guy yelling "white boys, go back to Europe?"

Or someone who voted for the candidate you don't like?

So vagina costumes and pink pussy hats are just fine for grown women to wear in public but MAGA hats by teenagers are not. We live in effed up times.

NP. I'm not sure why Democrats always place themselves on such high moral ground. Do you actually think there aren't bigots in the Democratic party? There are so many within minority groups who hold racist attitudes towards other minority groups. It's a well known "secret."

These boys were out harassing a young woman before they had the encounter with the American Indian.

The Covington Catholic boys harrassed my friends and I before the incident with Nathan Phillips even happened. I'm tired of reading things saying they were provoked by anyone else other than their own egos and ignorance ?????

Is there something offensive about vaginas? After all your dear leader says he loves to grab them.

I saw that. They are so badly behaved. Sheesh. i think we have learned that the schools bringing their teens on trips need to do a hell of a much better job supervising.
