So they have two teams in NCSL -- Blue (D1 champions) and White -- then Orange in CCL2? Is that whole ASIST division CCL2 teams (aside from PAC)? McLean White and Potomac White? |

Not sure if Orange is CCL2 team because the SYC Blue who is in NCSL was put in the higher division. |

| The ASIST staff did a not very thorough job in making the brackets! Several good CCL2 teams are in the lowest bracket while bottom of NCSL teams like PAC Navy are in the second bracket-WTF?? |

Besides SYC (I assume they are good), which ones are in the lower bracket. |

| MYS White belongs in Elite division with Arlington White. PAC White should be in lowest division and PAC Navy not too far behind. Arlington should know darn well which CCL2 teams it plays in the regular season and seek to match the appropriate teams for a fair competition. |

Based on CCL 2 standings if SYC Orange is that same team then it should be in same division as Arlington White or better. |

| Back in the fall my team comfortably beat Arlington. However, the player who scored a brace in the game received a direct red card for a "foul" in which he won the ball cleanly. The center official wouldn't tell us why he was sent off, so we approached him after the match to inquire. He said, and I quote: "Your team was much better than them, it wasn't fair." What a joke. |

| That is correct-SYC Orange was first place in Fall CCL2 followed by McLean White and Arlington White. They should all be in same bracket for this tournament. |

Not to be too technical here but they were followed by Arlington White and then McLean White. Also they were 1st place in their CCL2 division, not all of CCL2. |

| Yes you are correct! But the point is, the brackets are ridiculous and CCL2 teams should comprise the Elite and not the bottom bracket. |

Yes I agree that brackets should be better balanced for the appropriate competition. Not so much whether Elite or bottom but that all similar teams should be in the same bracket. Maybe Arlington just feels that since it's their tournament, it'll make their parents feel better that the "White" team is so good that they are playing in the "Elite" bracket. There are definitely some teams in their bracket that should be much lower. Also a good way for them to guarantee better results. Looking at that overall age group it looks like some of the better teams in last year's tournament did not return. |
