She claimed her masters were sold to scooter braun without being offered to her first and without her knowledge. In reality they were offered to her first in an extended deal with her label that she refused andthere is correspondence between her and the label talking about the sale of her masters alongside the label(of which she and her father were major shareholders)

Taylor just pushed back on a deal she didn't like using her large public platform to get sympathy and paint a narrative of the evil patriarchal businessmen controlling her work.

That's fair. I found it whiny of her to complain about them selling the masters. They owned them and had the right. As she had the right to rerecord, which I find clever. I'd rather her take the perspective of someone who made a boss move than an aggrieved party.

You people STILL think record label conglomerates which own EVERYTHING including the gossip rags, radio stations and streaming services let her "steal" her masters with this one quirky trick! lol. You people are truly hopeless. It was all a con and all of them were in on it.

Just re-record your old songs and you own the new version! Why didn't anyone ever think of that! lmao

Nobody is over it. Love story of the decade.

She is grotesque. Looks like she lives on heroin and cigarettes.

She was likely high and trying to turn on rat face

In the 80s,90s, 00s, we just listened to what we liked and judged you if you liked something different.

The internet has made everything weird and bad.

There wasn't a place to go on and on and on about the music you didn't like. You just didn't listen to it.

There also was not a place to create parasocial relationships with your fans. Musicians had private lives and were not doing constant papp walks spread across the internet that did not exist back then.

Did Michael Jackson or Dolly Parton or Madonna create forty version of an album? That also was not done back then, I do not think. But let me know if I am wrong.

Were there so many diss tracks back then? I don't recall musicians making it so obvious who they were dissing in their songs ("Dear John" cough cough) or encouraging their minions to dislike their old boyfriends...

Have you ever seen old photos or videos of fans losing their minds over Elvis or the Beatles? Or heard of the fan who shot Selena? Fans have always been crazy.

Selena was shot by the manager of the fan club.

What you were missing here is very few artists can do this.

It doesn’t have to cost the fans money. I understood what she was trying to do, so just went and downloaded all of Taylor’s versions albums as they were released. It was free and included in my Apple Music account. No cost to me, and I knew I was supporting her rather than scooter.

I know a lot of people bought the actual albums, but you can still support what she was doing without spending the extra money. It was a really smart business move. People are going to stream those songs in the billions anyway, why not just have them stream Taylor’s versions instead of the old versions?

Not just any fan, a super fan. Fans have always been nuts. Killing, stalking and attacking their idols.

If you wrote it, yeah. She was essentially doing covers of her own songs.

Taylor’s new song, The Fate of Ophelia, has a part that sounds an awful lot like Lana del Ray’s song

They literally teach this at multiple colleges and universities. You think you’re smarter than Harvard Law?

She would be so pretty if she let her eyebrows grow back and stopped doing that stupid thing with her eyes all the time.

Also, heels with jeans? Is she in her 50s?

Don't know, but she is incredibly off-putting.

Oh, I think Gabby is hot. Angelina Jolie type of stunning. But I still prefer Matty w/ Taylor because these two in love make incredible music, eg Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, Being Funny In a Foreign Language…

And TTPD, Taylor’s most poetic and sincere work.

As a man, I find Taylor very sexy.

I’m kind of a new fan of TS so I don’t know all the back story. Is the woman on the right the one for whom “when the cokes got your brain” was written?
