There will be more student loan foregiveness, because there are boomers and cuspXers with a lot of graduate debt.

Nah, Millennials and Gen Z didn't really show they were willing to vote R if forgiveness didn't happen. What's going to happen is the GOP end up restarting payments and taking a big political hit because of it. Biden is just going to extend the payment pause until 2024 just like Boomer parents never really make their Millennial children repay borrowed money

This is just like the American Rescue Plan. Conservatives balked, independents grumbled, progressives loved it, and then everyone forgot about it... until inflation got crazy, causing the conservatives/independents/and some progressives to HATE Biden. Same thing will happen in 2023.

ARP didn't have that much of an impact on inflation. Inflation would have soared without it and the same groups would have still disliked him. Note that Biden's approval rating is currently rising with independents..probably because gas prices are going down.

This will have a small if any impact on inflation and will probably be forgotten about after labour day. It will also probably be challenged in court so nothing much will be happening any time soon.

Debatable. But perception often feels like reality to voters at the polls.

Reward the losers and tax the responsible. Typical democratic BS.

Great. Now comment on the banks that Bush bailed out and the PPP loans that Trump gave the rich. They exceed student loan forgiveness.

Agreed, I'd like Big Ag to repay the bail out I was forced to fund after Donnie started an idiotic trade war.

I'm also not interested in helping to foot Israel's security bill when there's no reason that the Israeli's can't pay for it themselves.

Those people with student loan debt ARE TAX PAYERS!

It;s hugely ironic that the people yelling the loudest about this are the MAGA followers of bankruptcy king Trump who had countless millions forgiven. Do some deep introspection.

Biden’s approval keeps going up.
Inflation is coming down.
Gas is down.
Supply chain is normalizing.
And MAGA would never vote for him anyway, why not keep a campaign promise for your base?!

Well the will have to show the cancelled debt as income. If you are wondering why we needed the extra IRS agents and guns for the IRS.

So how is this forgiveness funded?

No, not even that. There's a provision that exempts this income from taxation. A $10,000 tax free bonus.

LOL. Please, tell more more about the Trump tax cuts!

If the GOP comes into power, they will give the rich more tax breaks and they will think it's fair.
