100% Richmond, not even a comparison.

Yeah, I think even Elon admissions would advise you to go to UR

Any difference in cost?

Both preppy, Greek and isolated, right?
Anonymous
Richmond is not isolated.

Please don’t indulge this. We can’t just ignore extreme academic quality differences and focus on “fit.”

Richmond is isolated. Much better school than Elon but definitely isolated.

This is OP. I wasn’t trying to start drama. I would like to learn what is different or the same about these two schools that, on a superficial level, seem pretty similar. My daughter is looking for a mid-size school.

Both have pretty campuses, UR is closer to a city. Elon has grown to be a national university with top academics, UR has remained committed to the liberal arts. Comparable options, go where the kid is more comfortable.

What on earth? It’s in the city of Richmond. Elon is in the middle of nowhere.

Oh yeah? What suggests they are so different?

Elon’s 25th-75th percentile SAT range is 1175-1330. UR is 1410-1500. Are we done comparing apples and oranges?

The smartest kids at Elon would be the dumbest kids at Richmond, to be crude about it.
