Wanted to ask about the restrictions and/or regulations regarding certain flag pole heights and the prominent display of the southern flag on said flag poles? Would it be legally and socially acceptable to do so, or would it vary by city or county (ie Great Falls vs Loudoun). TYIA and please share helpful, informative insight. No political discussion or prejudice please! |
Southern flag? 🤨 You mean the confederate flag, the flag of the traitors and an enduring symbol of racism in our country? |
Yet you’re asking a political question! Legally, it would vary. Whether or not it’s socially acceptable would also vary — but you know that already.
What’s a “ Southern “ flag? If you don’t have the courage to say what you really mean on an anonymous board — ask yourself if you really have what it takes to handle the fallout from a belligerently prominent display. |
It is not socially acceptable, period. |
Why would it be illegal? |
The confederate flag will not be socially acceptable within the dc metro area. Full stop. Your decision to rebrand it in this post is telling. |
I live in Frederick county. Even these redneck idiots out here took down their confederate flags over the last year or two. Even their Trump flags have been removed by now.
Bottom line, I'm disappointed. I wish they all would fly their freak flags so we could easily spot them and avoid. Go ahead and let your thoughts be known. |
Are you talking about a monogrammed Lilly Pulitzer flag in a kicky bold pattern—perhaps with a pink crab? |
I have never heard of a "southern flag". Could you describe the flag? |
Southern flag lolololol. You mean the treasonous Confederate flag?
|
Same. |
Australia? Argentina? Namibia? There are lots of Southern flags! |
And if it’s that one, which one do you mean? There were several. |
Southern flag?
Sure, it’s legal. Please fly it so people know your passions and what you like and stand for. |
I LOL'd at this |
