What is a White Hispanic?

Is it someone with a White parent and a Hispanic/Latino parent?

Is it someone who is a light-skinned Hispanic/Latino even if their siblings and parents are brown-skinned?

Do you need to have a White ancestor or parent to be a White Hispanic/Latino?

There are lots of people of European descent in Argentina and Columbia for example. They look no different than people from Europe, yet they are considered Hispanic.

Yes, Argentina is full of Italians, Brits, and Germans decedents who speak Spanish. There are blonde Argentinians.

My husband is white hispanic.

He was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He didn’t learn English until age 12. He has white skin and blue eyes (super curly dark hair).

Hispanics can guess where he’s from, but white Americans ask, “where are you from?”

It sounds like what you're saying is that these Hispanics don't have any indigenous or African heritage. Is that what you mean?

Me kinda- I’m brown Hispanic. I don’t consider my race white. I consider it Latino/Hispanic even though it doesn’t make sense.

My husband is also a brown latino but brown isn’t a race so he has to pick between black or white. He sometimes puts black sometimes white. For our son he always says white.
