She came from really humble roots. She speaks in an uncultured accent.
She about to become pm of a g7 country. Nothing was ever really handed to her. She “leans in” Interesting that she isn’t being championed as a “girl boss” just because she has different political views |
| Do people go around calling potential leaders of countries "girl boss"? |
Did you not see everyone simping for sanna Marin and the Estonian pm kaja kallas and the Moldovan leader? |
Fascism is “different political views”? |
Yes - it literally is a different political ideology. |
No. And no one uses the term "girl boss" unless they are shilling an MLM. Guess the troll farms are kicking back into action now. |
| Because hashtags are stupid as heck |
| Girl boss is a negative term, isn’t it? |
| Op is very old… #girlboss is over. Girlboss is not a good thing on IG or TikTok. It’s a pejorative now. |
| Girlboss was taken over by quitquitting! |
|
I mean firstly because she’s not PM of anything yet.
Then there’s the fact that she’s a pretty awful human having nothing to do with her political views— she doxxed a rape victim, for example. And then finally, Europe has more impressive female leaders. No one needs to scrape the bottom of the barrel like this to find people to admire there. |
G7 leaders? |
| The last far-right leader in Italy was Mussolini, so, um, yeah. |
Yes? PM of the UK is a woman and Germany was led by a woman for fifteen years. The EU is considered part of the G7 and is also led by a woman. All of these women are much more impressive than the not-yet-elected fascist who might run Italy. What is it about her you think people should be impressed by, compared to the women who have legitimate accomplishments and don’t release video of women being raped? |
36 year old here. Girl boss is a negative term. Same as boss babe and others. It highlights a need to separate yourself in winner terms based on your identity as a woman. No man needs to say man boss or boss dude. It is self-aggrandizing. It is a cloak of feminism that hides two sides of it: those that actually start their own business (and are somehow special for it) and those businesses that catered to SAHM or underemployed women in MLM-type business. You work. Congratulations. On the other side of it, girl boss was the pinnacle of 1950s female plus 1980s padded power suit WOHM. An ideal of sexuality plus success rolled into a nice package that only reinforced the glass ceiling because you need to be a "girl boss" or "boss babe" to be successful. It became a walking SNL skit.
