Clifton annoys me, here's why

Anonymous
It just seems like nothing gets done there. the traffic numbers require action but the city or state or whoever runs it doesn't do a damn thing. My local rep on the council is a nonce and ineffective. How do I enact change? Its not just traffic, they need streetscaping, the main street looks disheveled. Bands of kids walk around at night with no street lights whatsoever, there's been cases of wild animals getting into trash cans and the county/city does nothing to address it.

Yes, it is.

Talk with the Mayor or city council about those changes.

Exactly what do you expect to be done about the animals? Other than the small downtown area most lots in Clifton are 5 acres surrounded by woods, where animals live. Keep the trash cans closed and stored where animals can’t get to them. Do you live in Clifton? Why would you buy there when it sounds like you don’t like anything about it? People choose to live in Clifton because they want the small town feel with large lots.

DP. Have to agree with the OP and I've lived here since 1997 but this is outrageous what's been happening to the town. ITs gone down hill recently seeing the lack of CONCERN and CARE about the infrastructure. The town could do so much to deal with the wildlife but chooses not to.

Have had raccoons get in my trash, called the town to fix the infestation and they refuse to do anything.

The wildlife has been here prior to your 1997. They are native animals, unlike you, and you are occupying their space. Learn how to live with them.

No, I will not. Stop making excuses for horrible management on the part of the town.

NP, you need to manage your food waste better. That's not the town's job. Don't leave it out. Problem solved.
