You do realize there are probably tens of thousands of former DOJ prosecutors? 2000 is a drop int he bucket.
I heard this morning that there are approximately 10,000 lawyers currently working at DOJ.

Not only that but the petition was started by a liberal based group (Protect Democracy) backed by many who worked for Clinton and Obama. Clearly they think Barr is close to uncovering the weaponizing of the DOJ for political gain.

You are just a damn liar. I noticed you left out the members who worked in both of the Bush Administrations. It is a nonpartisan group.

85% of the former prosecutors are republicans. Many of them have signed the petition. Read the Ayers article in The Atlantic.

DP. Everyone in the criminal justice system knows as a matter of course, prosecutors lean politically right, as in republican. So yeah, 80-85% seems about right.

The same amount asked for by Barr in the revised memo. Guess the judge agreed with him.

I have to agree with pp. So does Politico......

Top lawyers who helped the Obama White House craft and hold to rules of conduct believe President Donald Trump and his staff will break ethics norms meant to guard against politicization of the government — and they’ve formed a new group to prepare, and fight.

United to Protect Democracy, which draws its name from a line in President Barack Obama’s farewell address that urged his supporters to pick up where he was leaving off, has already raised a $1.5 million operating budget, hired five staffers and has plans to double that in the coming months. They’ve incorporated as both a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4), allowing them to operate as a nonprofit but participate in some forms of political advocacy as well.

And, Influence Watch...

The Protect Democracy Project (PDP) is a left-of-center litigation organization created to oppose the policies of President Donald Trump.

United to Protect Democracy is the 501(c)(4) advocacy affiliate of the Protect Democracy Project.

Capital Research Center....

Most political observers know that Trump critic and former Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol launched groups that receive funding from left-wing heavyweights, but Capital Research Center has uncovered another #NeverTrump network that is also funded by the Left. Clearly, the schism among conservatives revealed by the #NeverTrump movement is something many on the Left are eager to use to their advantage.

The Kristol story began last fall when Julie Kelly exposed in American Greatness a pair of advocacy nonprofits he founded. Kristol’s 501(c)(4) advocacy group Defending Democracy Together was promised at least $600,000 in grants over one year from the leftist Democracy Fund Voice, created by Ebay founder and left-wing financier Pierre Omidyar. In September, the left-of-center Hewlett Foundation granted another $150,000 to the group’s 501(c)(3) arm, the Defending Democracy Together Institute.

Omidyar’s Democracy Fund Voice normally funds leftist causes, including the “dark money” giant Sixteen Thirty Fund and the anti-free market group Free Press, which is run by Robert McChesney, an avowed socialist and net neutrality advocate. In 2016, Omidyar—a Hillary Clinton donor—took it a step further and donated at least $250,000 to a political action committee called the NeverTrump PAC, which spent nearly $182,000 in independent expenditures against the Republican presidential nominee. (NeverTrump PAC does not appear to be affiliated with Kristol.)

You’re the liar. It’s a who’s who of democratic operatives, primarily for Obama.

Billy Kristol isn't a lefty. And money is fungible, remember?

Y'all righties need to grow up.

There are two justice systems.

An African-American women votes at the wrong polling place and gets 5 years.

Roger Stone conspires with a foreign state and obstructs Congress and gets 40 months (and isn't even starting service today)

Billly Kristol is not involved with Protect Democracy. Further in the article linked, you will find this:

The Republic At Risk was co-published with another obscure anti-Trump group, the Protect Democracy Project, this one striking from the Left.

Protect Democracy Project is headed by Ian Bassin, former associate counsel for the Obama White House. Its legal director, Justice Florence, was senior counsel to the Democratic wing of the Senate Judiciary Committee under Sen. Whitehouse. It even counts a former Weekly Standard staffer, Chris Deaton, in its ranks.

Its board of directors is well-connected to the professional Left. Ex-Obama administration official Cecilia Muñoz, for example, was senior vice president of UnidosUS (formerly the National Council of La Raza); last year she was appointed to the board of the U.S. programs division of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

So your implication is that only lefties are concerned about corruption at DOJ and by the AG? That's something to brag about?
