I don’t know if Patsy killed JB accidentally in the bathroom when cleaning her up from a bed wetting incident or toileting or what. Maybe JonBenet slipped and fell backward onto the tub or something or her head mashed against the sink during a tantrum. I’m not sure what happens but what is known is Patsy didn’t go to sleep that night, Burke was eating pineapple and in the basement playing with presents that night, and JB was sexually molested long before the night of 12/25. Either one of the parents or Burke had a motive to kill or stage a kill to protect the killer

Very little chance the family did it, as people who commit violent crimes as adults almost always have a history of it. No one wakes up at 50 and sexually assaults and kills their child without a history of criminal activity.

What about Patsy or Burke? Patsy could’ve accidentally tussled to get the child’s underpants on in the bathroom and the child fell backwards and split her head on the sink or tub, or Burke could’ve fought her in the kitchen over the pineapple or in the basement over the toys. The death was accidental. I don’t think this was intentional. The ransom note would’ve been pre-written from the intruder’s house if this was planned. Patsy was a smart woman. I have no dog in this fight because we don’t know - I strongly suspect the parents given the lack of any evidence of an intruder, as has anyone that has seriously examined the case other than some outliers - but again, we don’t know. He was caught being sexually inappropriate with JB, according to Patsy. They played "doctor" and they were instructed to never be left alone together. Hence the paintbrush insertion.

The garrote had boy scout level knots which Burke knew how to do. It wasn't complicated.

He assaulted her with a golf club to the face previously. The skull fracture on JB was consistent with Burke's flashlight that he used to go to the bathroom with. That night, the entire flashlight and batteries were wiped clean and left in the kitchen. Burke confessed when he told the police someone hit over the head then she died

An accidental tussle - they wouldn’t have immediately called an ambulance? Instead they staged a sex assault involving an asphyxiation fetish and shoved a paintbrush in her while she was still alive? The autopsy says she was alive when that happened and when she was strangled- she was grabbing at her neck. Heartbreaking and awful. Her mom did that?

The train room with Burke’s toys is right next to the wine cellar where JB was found. The pineapple dish and legal pad were in the kitchen where Burke also was. How likely is it that Burke didn’t hear this intruder at all when he was in the adjacent room? How likely is it that a 6 year old would go to a dark wine cellar instead of the train room with her older brother and toys?

The obvious killer was Burke. Patsy wanted to save the remaining child she had. Many mothers would 100% scramble and come up with something like that crazy note. Burke killed her by accident or on purpose and he tells Pat who runs downstairs and screams (neighbor overheard a female scream) and starts to stage the scene all night.

Yes, clearly a woman with no previous pathology sexually assaulted and killed her own daughter and then wrote a ransom note with strange references to male focused movies (but used the word ‘attache’ to let us know it was really her) and then called the police on herself before 6AM. It makes perfect sense, right?
