You can tell Jackson Lewis massaged the findings and is more generous with its analysis and conclusions than the OIG will be, but they said enough to make it clear that MCPS is pretty broken and suffering from some seriously failed leadership. Which is good enough for me.

Yeah I don't know how you read that and think, McKnight is a great leader! Since it's likely she will be allowed to continue in her position, let's hope she does learn from this that she can't just ignore concerns about an abusive staff member in a leadership position. It's unfortunate that this is learning on the job for a person at her level, but it's not like it's easy to find qualified people willing to do that job.

Someone needs to leak the unredacted report.

The Board of Ed is not exercising meaningful oversight of MCPS and should be dissolved and reconstituted on different terms.

McKnight needs to go.

She is clearly not qualified to lead MCPS. A lot of things need to change. She is not the right person to do this. The minimum the BOE must do is to bring someone from outside to clean house.

The entire system failed those sexual harassment victims, and I hope lawsuits will be brought to bring the needed changes to this failed system.

So the conclusion is nobody did anything wrong.

No, the conclusion is their policies and procedures are full of holes.

No, the conclusion is they didn't intentionally conspire to do wrong. They just utterly failed at their jobs and didn't follow-up or communicate when they clearly should have.

Have you read the follow-up WaPo story? MCPS literally backdated the file to look like there had not been an open investigation at the time of his promotion. That's the definition of "intentionally conspiring."

I was responding to the line that was quoted in the Jackson Lewis report. Personally, I think a whole lot of people knew what they were doing and why they were doing it.

But I was just translating what the Jackson Lewis report was communicating, which is that no one MEANT to do anything wrong. They just failed to communicate and follow-up and they're really sorry about it and promise to do better in the future. Pinky promise.

I'm the PP, and thanks for clarifying. I agree. I'm also very curious about the ADDITIONAL five Lighthouse reports and one ADDITIONAL Safe Schools report. That should really put to rest any griping about "why didn't the victims use the correct channels?" They did, and were ignored.

It really should, but something tells me the Monifa sychophant is still going to keep posting that all of this happened before her tenure and the victims didn't speak up and complain in the right ways, which is why none of this is Monifa's fault and anyone who criticizes her leadership is biased and racist.

Not only were they ignored, but in the most recent investigation someone in Walker’s supervisory chain was discussing the investigation with Beidleman and assuring Beidleman that he would be cleared.

How did that part about Beidleman being reassured that he'd be exonerated come to light? Did someone tell on themselves?

I get that you have wanted her gone from day one, but the facts just don't warrant it.

DP here. Honestly, I don't know why you're so insistent that McKnight is innocent in all this. What is up with this undying loyalty you have of her? Only a fool hasn't realized by now that she at least knew something was swirling around.

What's up with your belief that she's guilty without any evidence or facts that support this just a bunch of hearsay and gossip.

It didn’t say but the report had an exact date of the event, so the supervisor may have been brazen enough to email about it.

IMO, these 2 also reduce our trust of the system:

(1) "All of these anonymous complaints were received by DCI, but none were formally investigated because DCI has a long-standing practice of not formally investigating anonymously complaints..."

(2) "[REDACTED] Expressed [REDACTED] Specific Concerns to [REDACTED] About The Risk Of Promoting [REDACTED] . However, [REDACTED] Still Supported The Promotion."

The “risk” of promoting. They thought (and may still think) that they can get away with anything.

Then he should be restored to his principal position.

He should be put in a position where he isn’t directly over employees such as teachers who feel vulnerable weak and threatened. He sounds like he gets off on intimidation and bullying. A clear abuse of power.

He should be dismissed from MCPS. Can’t believe there’s any discussion of finding a different job for him in the school system.

If the Damascus principal still has a job why shouldn’t he? That was a way worse offense and cover up.

Different administrators, same result. It’s the MCPS culture.

More investigations need to be done to make sure all who need to be held accountable are held accountable. Moving in administrators with the same history of ignoring complaints as the administrators you are moving out doesn’t solve the culture problem.

They do get away with every scandal. Many fail upward in mcps. Just look at damascus admin. They break the protocol that involves rape victims through coverup and they get central office jobs to teach others how to do cover ups.

And in the end they found nothing really sinister went on here so it's time to move on.
