Agree on most points. But not sure Landon has what it takes this year. Never seen one of their teams make so many errors and be so bad at clearing. This is one of its worst teams in a long time. Is this a coaching issue?

Bullis baffles me. Should be much more dominant, but there's something with their chemistry that is off. That is why Prep should win it all. The only thing that could get in their way is their own coaching, but this team seems to have good chemistry, plays relaxed and the coaches are letting them play. They lost early to Bullis but it appears that was due to the Bullis goalie playing out of his mind (as he often does). Not sure how Prep blew the lead to Landon and almost lost in their second game, but don't see that happening again. SSSA is a mystery as it often seems to be.

Bordley should come out of retirement and coach for the final 2 weeks of the season. I disagree , I think this is one of the better Landon teams since 2018. Landon head coach doesn't know what he is doing. Its laughable how poorly this team clears and the turnovers they continue to make.

Bullis is a borderline a club team. A bunch of touted Ty Xander stars who don't play particularly well together and lacks serious depth. If it weren't for their goalie, the Bulldogs lose both games to Landon. Bullis goalie is one of the best in the country as well as their defense.

GP will cruise through the IAC tournament and should win their first outright title in several years. Too much depth and very athletic, not to mention an excellent FOGO.

I think the Landon goalie outplayed the Bullis goalie over both games. More saves on what should have been goals by far over the 2 games. Bullis defense and ride were exceptional to offset Landon domination at face off. Will be an entertaining rubber match in playoffs.

The whole league is determined by the Prep fogo. He is the best fogo in 22 class and dominates the league. He gives Prep so many chances on offense that it is almost impossible for the Prep coaches to screw it up. Credit to Prep, they needed a fogo and went out and recruited one....the best one. And that will be the difference maker in the end. Take him away, Landon, Prep, SSSA and Bullis are essentially even (w each team having certain strengths and weaknesses).

Prep lacrosse is the equivalent of SJC FB.
Richmond kid, kid from Canada, and will get more DC 2023 Dogs this summer.
What a joke.

Except Prep is a legitimate boarding school—one of the top ones in the country, for that matter. Prep’s AVERAGE SAT score is 1386, and the FOGO you refer to is going to UVA.

Right. It is a legit boarding school. However, if you are going to claim boarding school as your pass to recruit kids from outside the area, at least make them actually stay in the dorms. Fogo lives w the assistant coach.

Facts. At least pretend they actually board. It seems recruiting is a no-no for everyone but Prep.

That’s is a very valid point

Prep does the same shit as Bullis and Landon but its less obvious as its a much larger school.

Bullis used to play all kinds of recruiting games and give some kids special benefits. Landon goes by the book.

We will have to wait and see if the new Headmaster at Bullis wants the shenanigans to continue.

Co-ed education is important in our family, agree. Beyond that, my son played as a Freshman, started as a sophomore, won a few championships and now plays in the Ivy League. Seemed like a pretty good run. To each his own.

SJC steamrolling the WCAC. Where would SJC fall in the IAC? Battle for 1st, I believe.

I don't know, the Cades would certainly in the TOP 4 in the IAC.

The IAC has some very well coached teams. GP, Bullis, Landon and Saint Stephens are all very well coached.

I have never thought Gonzaga was well coached they certainly just benefitted having a huge enrollment, a down economy, Mater Dei pipeline, and as a result a major influx of applicants. I've said this before and I'll say it again, GZ best days could very well be behind them. PVI has always been poorly coached and that is no secret.

SJC is the real deal though... hopefully the Corrigan end of year IAC vs WCAC challenge takes place.

But they will still end up at excellent colleges and be successful in life because they received a first rate education and belong to a strong community. That’s ultimately all that matters.

Uh, you don't think colleges look at grades? Playing a sport may help if you're on the fence, but if you have poor grades they certainly (especially excellent colleges) won't consider a player. Of course, you could go to a prep school after graduating to prepare you better for college work. But that's more $.

Matt Kavanaugh went PG for this reason. He admitted on Carc's podcast that he bombed Jr year at Chaminade and ND recommended that he get his grades in order.

What’s happening with Gonzaga this year? I’ve never seen them play as bad as they are this year. The Heights game was ugly. Too much talent to look like a JV team.

Most important player on the team is from Richmond and lives with a Coach. Got it. Maryland version of Friday Night Lights...

if that's the situation, MYOB. kid's parents, coaches and school admins must all know - the school and even his club couldn't be that dumb not to have signed waivers to avoid the liability if anything goes wrong?

Bullis parents stop complaining as the same DCE who was once on your sidelines (and housed 1 - 2 high profile transfers at Bullis) is now doing the same thing at rival GP.
