There was an apparent noose hoax at the NAAHM museum in dc in 2017. There’s video of the perpetrator and there hasn’t been any updates nor havevthe Park police released the footage. So if long enough goes by people just forget and still consider it real . Smollett should have not doubled down he would have gotten away with it

I'd do the same in her shoes. But at what point do you hear the evidence they have against him and think - yeah, I don't believe him anymore. I'm sure his family is devastated, especially as they realize this really was a hoax. I wonder if they know even more details of the evidence against him than we as the general public do.

after two years with chided footage of the person and there have been no updates I’d assume the person who did it worked there

It should be interesting to anybody paying attention that the media was very careful to describe the hoax as alleged whereas when reporting the original crime the word was used sparingly and many commentators added their own editorial comments to the story such as "this is the America we live in today." I want the media to report the news without agenda or bias and on both sides this seems to be an impossibility. I tend to watch the BBC in the mornings for news now and otherwise use google news online.

FOX News is in every way objectively and measurably less credible than CNN. They constantly repeat things that are factually wrong.
